Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2011
Prepared exactly as stated only without the breadmaker option and made as rolls instead of crescents and it is not a keeper for me. Turned out dry and not sweet at all :(

Crab Rangoon III

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2010
I did what others suggested and cut the amount of crab meat down to 1-6 ounce can, added 1/4 cup chopped green onions instead of water chesnuts and added more sugar and they turned out great. I kept adding a tsp of sugar to the mix until I got it sweet enough to our liking, which was 7 tsp. The only criticizism I had was that they were a little oily on the inside even though I let them drain plenty so next time I will try them in the oven. Also, a lot of the filling was evaporated when I fried them. Got "Mmmmmm" from the little one that loves them from a restaurant though.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
I kept the ingredients the same as the recipe states...namely I didn't sift the onions out of the onion soup mix and it turned out awesome! THIS is now our meatloaf recipe. I used 1tbs honey, 3tbs ketchup and 1/2 tsp worchestershire sauce glaze on mine. This was completely gone...everyone loved it!

The Best Chicken Salad Ever

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
I substitute a can of Tyson Premium White Chicken instead of the chicken breast and skip the food processor part, since I don't have one. It turns out sooooo good!

Twice-Baked Mashed Potatoes

This dish was sooooo good. However next time, I think I'll add some sour cream to the mixture. This will be served more than just on holidays.

Cool Whipped Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
Love, love, LOVE this frosting. I used it on a coconut cake and everyone asked me what the frosting was. It literally made the cake! *I actually forgot to add the milk, which is why I didn't get the runny mess. Just use the pudding mix and cool whip and it'll be good.

Coconut Cream Cake I

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
I made this as a layer cake and can not do it again. Letting the cake set overnight in the fridge makes it unbelievably sticky to the bottom of the pan and impossible to transfer the cake to a serving platter to finish frosting/decorating. Plus, it was soggy on the bottom of the layers. I also took the suggestions of others and topped it with the Cool Whipped Frosting, which was honestly the best part of the cake.

I loved this recipe! I have been looking for an alternative to the $4 Steak 'N Shake Fruit and Yogurt Smoothie and now I have. I added some sweetener to it and it was perfect!

Boiled Custard

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2005
Being pregnant in the summer and craving boiled custard of all things made me try this recipe. I didn't want to make the full 12 servings, in case it wasn't that good...no offense Angela...so the only thing I altered with this recipe was the serving size to 4. After about 30 minutes of stirring, the custard finally started thickening up. Looked like boiled custard...smelled like boiled custard...but when I tasted it, the egg was the only flavor to really come through. I didn't feel like finishing off the egg shake I had made so I'll just wait until November 1st...when my local grocery store says they will carry it.
