About this Cook
Live by the ocean with fantastic seafood and great farmer's markets. The central coast is all about fresh avocados, oranges and artichokes!
My favorite things to cook
Vegetarian chili, barbqued fish, p-nut butter cookies, Indian curry, Thai, Stir fry, new creative dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Old fashioned mid western casseroles, Mom's apple pie really was great...and those jello molds!
My cooking triumphs
My bisquit topped chicken pot pie was a huge hit, found a lasagne recipe that's great (at last). Made red lentil cauliflower curry that tasted very authentic!
My cooking tragedies
I've lit many slices of bread on fire forgetting them in the broiler....

Sunflower Oatmeal Cookies
excellent! I used salted roasted sunflower seeds and they add such a delicious and different crunch. The second batch I made I added m&ms. I can see all sorts of yummy additions...all very good. Easy to make too.

Garlic Chicken
This recipe is so delicious, I've made it many times since saving the recipe in 2007. Chicken breast is tender, full of flavor and SO quick from kitchen to table! A win-win all around (unless you're a chicken). If I have a lemon lying around, I squeeze some juice in with the olive oil, but is great as written.

Easy Italian Chicken
We were rather surprised and pleased at this dish. I have always had problems cooking chicken in oil as the skin tends to stick. Still, the outcome was tender and delicious, as plain as it was. I'd try some lemon juice or balsamic vinegar along with the water (or chicken broth) at the end of cooking. Will make again, thanks!
