Black Bean and Couscous Salad

Double the lime juice, cumin, and vinegar, and it's great! Without doing that, too bland for my taste.

Chicken Piccata with Artichoke Hearts

I upped the wine to 1 c., cut the butter completely, and added 4 sundried tomatoes from the jar. Excellent! I served it over roasted spaghetti squash "noodles".

Phyllo-Wrapped Halibut Fillets with Lemon Scallion Sauce

The fish could use more seasonings than just the salt, pepper, and dill. It was my first time with phyllo, and it wasn't near as hard as I thought it would be. Nice presentation, just a little lacking in flavor.

Purple Apple Slaw

I used 1/2 mayo, 1/2 plain yogurt and added a dash each of nutmeg and cinnamon. Very unique flavor and goes with so much.

Lemon Horseradish New Potatoes

Olive Pecan Spread

Totally Tangy Baked French Fries

Mine never got crispy, so I put them under the broiler for a few minutes before serving. I wouldn't describe these as tangy as much as I would spicy (hot wise), but I enjoyed the flavor regardless.

Barbecue Ribs

I used chili sauce as I couldn't find chile sauce, and I didn't think these were overly sweet. Also, I baked them the whole way. I put the ribs by themselves in a covered roasting pan at 250 for 3.5 hours. I then drained them, poured the sauce over, covered, and baked at 225 for about another hour. Thanks for a great sauce!

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

I wanted to like this, but I really didn't! I thought the sauce had minimal flavor, and I did like the balsamic in it, but the chicken was tasteless to me. I won't make this one again.

Glazed Meatloaf II

Definitely double the sauce. I did, and I still needed ketchup, but I'm weird like that. The loaf itself wasn't very tasty. I'll keep the recipe for the sauce, but keep looking for another meatloaf recipe.

Tartar Sauce IV

I wasn't crazy about the lemon flavor in this as it was pretty strong. I usually add a little vinegar to my tartar, and I like it better that way apparently. Thanks anyhow!

Terry's Texas Pinto Beans

I had to add quite a bit of water to these and they took about 3 hours to cook. They were pretty tasteless when they were done, and I ended up adding more cumin and Mexican seasoning to them before serving. Thanks for the post, but I'll try something else next time.

White and Wild Rice Pilaf

I too made this to go with some blackened fish, and I loved it. It had just enough flavor but didn't take anything away from the meat. I liked the chunks of carrots and celery as well. Looks pretty good, tastes even better.

Garlic Broccoli

This made a great salad and snack! It is VERY garlicky, but I love that (maybe pass on this one for V-Day..). The proportions of oil and vinegar are just right. Thanks for a great recipe!

Secret Burger Sauce

I like garlic, but it was a little too prevalent here. I think I will sub half onion powder next time and maybe add a little mustard as well. I liked it though!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Excellent. I had quite a bit of the topping leftover though, so next time I will make 12 smaller muffins instead of 8 bigger ones and hopefully use up the topping. Thanks for a great recipe!

Chicken Enchiladas V

Quick, easy, but lacking taste- BIG time. The cream sauce is a nice change from regular red sauce, but next time I will throw in some taco seasoning with the meat as the chili powder did nothing for it. Also, the meat mixture looked pretty dry, so I had to put more of the soup mixture in with that than called for.
