Slow-Cooked Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
added the ingredients to the slow cooker the night before, left it outside on the (enclosed) porch (it's the middle of the winter), and turned it on to cook the next morning. used frozen, squared hash browns instead of shredded, but followed the rest of the recipe exactly and it was simple and delicious!

Hamantashen II

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2007
This is a great hamantashen recipe! I suggest rolling out the dough very thin, as they expand when they bake. Also, leave only a very small opening when pinching them closed because they open as they bake. I didn't do this for the first few and they came out almost flat (still yummy though).

Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2006
I used moose tracks ice cream, a whole box of Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies, Reddy Whip, and hot fudge (not chocolate syrup). This dessert is amazing!

This dessert is simple and delicious. I wound up making two in the same weekend because the first one was gone at the blink of an eye.

Caramel Brownies III

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2006
These brownies are amazing. I made them for a group of 20-somethings and now three weeks later everyone is still talking about them. I would leave yourself some time to unwrap all of the caramels and make sure to use butter, not margarine. I only had margarine and the brownies were a tiny bit salty, even though I was the only one who noticed.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2005
I have made this recipe twice now and even though I intend to serve them with dessert each time the entire batch has disappeared before dinner. I follow the recipe exactly as is and the cookies are moist, cakey, full of flavor and now a family favorite. I prefer them cold, but they're great any way.
