Burly Burger

Great simple and oh so filling. Try using peanut butter instead of mayo...sounds weird but when it melts with the cheese....hmmmm.

Barbeque Style Braised Short Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
These ribs are simply AMAZING ! This is an easy recipe to make, My 13 yr old daughter made this for a family gathering and loved the well deserved compliments. I put liquid smoke in a small plastic spray bottle and mist the ribs a bit while browning them...that is an easy way to give meat an outside flavor when cooking indoors. This is great with homemade mashed potatoes. And be warned...your guests will eat 2X what they normally do so make a lot. Thanks Valerie for a MAJOR winner...this should have a 10 star rating!

Easy Cajun Jambalaya

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
I took a risk making this as my wife and youngest daughter are not into spicy food. I reduced the tabasco by 1/2, added some cajun seasoning to make up for it, and they loved it! The second time I made it, i realized towards the end I was out of rice, so I served it over pasta bow ties and added cooked shrimp at the end (not while cooking as they get rubbery) What a FANTASTIC recipe! This is one of those recipes where you never have to worry about leftovers! Thanks Grant for a real winner

Cream Cheese Penguins

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
I had my daughters ages 10 and 12 make these. We used a cake decoration tube to fill. Also used chive and onion cream cheese.Using fancy toothpicks with colored tops made them look better. I cannot count the compliments they got when we took them to a Christmas gathering! It also makes a fun winter project for the kids. I cut a 1/4 slit out of the large belly olive to make the cheese area larger.A great recipe...just make sure to tell the guests it is okay to eat them.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
I made this recipe without ever having cooked anything Italian before. I doubled it and gave my mother in law (who is a second generation Italian) a pan. She called me up and said "This compliment is coming from a real Dag#...That is WONDERFUL Lasagna!" Thanks for the killer recipe !!! And for all of you yet to try it, don't change a thing.

Out of this World Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
Great recipe. I use a cooler to put bird in and put ice cubes in the water to keep temp down. I did the triple crown last year, brined bird, smoked with apple chips for 2 hrs, then deep fried the bird in peanut oil. Also try a bit of Old Bay in the brine..gives it a different, pleasant essence.

This is one our all time favorites! If you can find " Basa " fillets, they are even better than Tilapia. I also increase the coating mix by 50% because we love it so. A+ keeper recipe!!
