London Broil II

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2014
Great recipe ! I lightly pounded the London Broil, cut it with the grain into 1" strips, and dumped meat and marinade into a gallon zip lock bag and squeezed out the air. Used kosher salt instead of regular to aid in brining effect. Every piece had the crusty "end piece" taste! Charcoal grilled with Pecan Wood chip smoke. Heaven !

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2014
Amazing recipe. Simple quick and a great unique flavor. I used Johnsonville ground sweet italian sausage and it was wonderful. Leftovers (if any lol) seem to be like lasagna where they are even better the next day.

Sylvia's Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2013
I am an avid bbq smoker guy. There are times due to weather and time factors I am not able to cook ribs in this manner. This recipe ROCKS and makes ribs in a different but completely delicious fashion. The only addition I make is to mist the ribs with a small cosmetic type spray bottle using liquid smoke after cooking to give the ribs the "outdoor" essence.

Pineapple Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2013
This is a great change of pace for pork chops. I used chopped garlic instead of powder, added 1 tbsp. kosher salt(for a true brining effect),1 tbsp. canola oil, and 1 tbsp. sesame seeds to marinade mix. Talk about moist, juicy flavorful chops. The grilled rings make the perfect visual and tasty finish to the dish. Thanks for a keeper!

Great simple and oh so filling. Try using peanut butter instead of mayo...sounds weird but when it melts with the cheese....hmmmm.

Barbeque Style Braised Short Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
These ribs are simply AMAZING ! This is an easy recipe to make, My 13 yr old daughter made this for a family gathering and loved the well deserved compliments. I put liquid smoke in a small plastic spray bottle and mist the ribs a bit while browning them...that is an easy way to give meat an outside flavor when cooking indoors. This is great with homemade mashed potatoes. And be warned...your guests will eat 2X what they normally do so make a lot. Thanks Valerie for a MAJOR winner...this should have a 10 star rating!

Easy Cajun Jambalaya

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
I took a risk making this as my wife and youngest daughter are not into spicy food. I reduced the tabasco by 1/2, added some cajun seasoning to make up for it, and they loved it! The second time I made it, i realized towards the end I was out of rice, so I served it over pasta bow ties and added cooked shrimp at the end (not while cooking as they get rubbery) What a FANTASTIC recipe! This is one of those recipes where you never have to worry about leftovers! Thanks Grant for a real winner

Cream Cheese Penguins

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
I had my daughters ages 10 and 12 make these. We used a cake decoration tube to fill. Also used chive and onion cream cheese.Using fancy toothpicks with colored tops made them look better. I cannot count the compliments they got when we took them to a Christmas gathering! It also makes a fun winter project for the kids. I cut a 1/4 slit out of the large belly olive to make the cheese area larger.A great recipe...just make sure to tell the guests it is okay to eat them.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
I made this recipe without ever having cooked anything Italian before. I doubled it and gave my mother in law (who is a second generation Italian) a pan. She called me up and said "This compliment is coming from a real Dag#...That is WONDERFUL Lasagna!" Thanks for the killer recipe !!! And for all of you yet to try it, don't change a thing.

Out of this World Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
Great recipe. I use a cooler to put bird in and put ice cubes in the water to keep temp down. I did the triple crown last year, brined bird, smoked with apple chips for 2 hrs, then deep fried the bird in peanut oil. Also try a bit of Old Bay in the brine..gives it a different, pleasant essence.

This is one our all time favorites! If you can find " Basa " fillets, they are even better than Tilapia. I also increase the coating mix by 50% because we love it so. A+ keeper recipe!!
