Chicken Pot Pie I

I substituted the mixed vegetables for diced and boiled potatoes and carrots! Delish!!!! Good for those who have picky eaters or just want something a little more filling.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

I used a ham bone like another user did and used the water from that as my water. Therefore I did not add chicken bouillon. I also doubled the recipe because potato soup is my daughter and my favorite. It is pretty good! It seemed like a lot of liquid but after thickening up the milk it wasn't as watery as I thought but I added one extra TBSP of flour to make it extra thick. The consistency is perfect.

Chicken Pot Pie I

I also used 2 cans of cream of chicken, some seasoning, a half can of milk, and frozen mixed veggies instead of canned. Turned out really good. Had to cook a little longer than 45 minutes. More like 55. This thing is huge! It weighs at least a few pounds!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Very good, chicken is very tender and shreds easily. I put veggies on the side. I cooked mine both times for 3.5 hours, then do the biscuits for 1.5 and it was just perfect. Store bought refrigerated biscuits worked well.

Barbecue Ribs

I used the Dry Rub for Ribs from this site as others did before baking. This recipe was great and pretty easy to make. I did not have dry mustard so I used the mustard I had in the bottle. I did not have chili sauce so I made some out of 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/2 tsp Chiptole Chile Powder and 1/2 tsp Ground Cayenne Red Pepper, it had a nice little kick you could use less if you wanted. It was 1/2 cup which was alot so I decided to make my own instead of skipping it. Other than that I followed the instructions. Grilling is the only way to go if you have a grill. I made two batches one for last night and then I put the rest in ziploc bags to marinate overnight.
