Make-Ahead Mashed Potatoes

This is a great way to save yourself some effort for a dinner party! Make sure you set out an hour or so b4 baking the next day to bring back to room temp to save some more baking time! amazing!!!

Horseradish Sauce

this is awesome! I make one similar thats jut sour cream, mustard, and horserasish (I've been trying for years to copy my favorite dipping suace at Anabelle's restaurant) but this is even BETTER!!! I love this on everything from Chicken to onion rings and beef! Thanks so much for the great sauce.

Salsa Chicken

WOW! I have never made a meal that was this easy that tasted this good. I mean really. THe chicken was done...juicy, and VERY tasty. I was a little hesitant because my husband does not care for spicey foods but this was great. I used medium salsa and coated the chicken he would eat lightly with the taco seasoning, and coated mine heavily and added jalapeno's on top of the sour cream on mine. This is a perfect recipe. Tasty, simple and very "pretty". The red sauce, cheese, sour cream and jalapeno's (on mine) were so colorful that it looked GREAT on a plate. I would serve this for company. Thanks so much for the great recipe!! I would give it another star if I could.

Bananas Foster II

In a word, WOW! This was exactly the recipe I was looking for. It tasted just like the bananas foster my husband and I had at a 5 star restaurant. I thought about trying to Flambe it but decided not too and it was just as good with out it. Oh...I did add a dash of banana liquer, but I don't know if that really made it any better. A tip for all of you that were worried about the ice cream melting so quickly, it's bananas foster! It's supposed too :) Thanks for an AWESOME and SIMPLE and QUICK desert recipe!

World's Best Lasagna

This is the WORLDS best lasagna. I made this for my husbands birthday dinner (lasagna is his favorite) and even he said it was the best lasagna he'd ever tasted. I served the leftovers last night for my husband and I and my mom and dad and they all RAVED. I slightly altered the recipe : used hot sausage instead of sweet, used 3/4 lb sausage and 1 1/4 lb lean ground sirlion, used only one can of tomato paste (it looked thick enough after 1) added a dash of red wine to the sauce, and added 8 oz of cream cheese to the ricotta mixture ( I am not a big ricotta fan). This was amazing. I let the sauce simmer for about 2 hours and I layered it exactly like the directions. I think it would be just as awesome without these changes, mostly family taste preferences. Though it took awhile for the sauce to simmer I found it to be very easy and wonderful! THanks so much for my new lasagna recipe! Im sure i will make it often!

Stromboli

This was amazing! My first home-made Stromboli was a total success! I followed the recipe execpt that I did sautee the onion and bell pepper (as my husband and I don't like them raw tasting)but that was the only change. I think I may have added a little too much sauce, as it split a little in the middle, and I was worried that it might get a little soggy, but it was still perfect! thanks for a great recipe!

Clemons Family Bean Dip

I am re-reviewing this recipe, because I made it again this weekend and WOW!!! I already gave it 5 stars, but I did it wrong! Make sure to add the jalapenos with the juice, it totally cuts the heat and gives it an amazing!! flavor. This is the BEST dip ever. also, tray adding a half a pound of hot sausage to this dip...makes the flavor even better!! thanks for an awesome (ie the BEST) warm chip dip I've ever had!!!!!

Famous Butter Chicken

This was a good recipe. For my taste it would be more like 4 star but my husband liked it so much I had to give it a 5. I did spice it up a little by adding cayenne pepper and celery salt, and a little more garlic to the crackers, and adding a little tabasco and worchestershire to the eggs. I also used 1/2 the butter and that was plenty. This is a very basic recipe that I think kids and people that like less favorful foods would prefer. I dipped mine in Horseradish Sauce (from this site...AWESOME dip for anything from onion rings and breaded chicken to roasts) and that was really good. My husband said "this is the best chicken I have ever had" so that summed it up for me. This will be in my normal; rotation now. Thanks for posting!

Mississippi Six

I really liked this, and so did everyone at the party that I made it for. The only thing I will change the next time I make it, is that it was a little thick for me. I might add a little carnation milk, or even a little bullion to make it a little more like a "dip" instead of a "spread". The appearance was excellent, and I loved the bread bowl. Looked very gormet. Thanks for a great new recipe!

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

This was WONDERFUL!!! I put it on in the morning and tasted at lunch and YUMMY. I couldn't wait to get home to eat some. I made a few revisions after reading the reviews: 1 can stewed tomatoes w/jalapenos, 1 can ROTEL tomatoes (instead of 2 cans diced tomaotes) added a packet of ranch dressing mix, added 1/2 cup of water and 2 cans of beef consume instead of 2 cans of water. I also seasoned the meat with cumin and chili powder while it was cooking. It was FABUOUS! The only bad thing was that because I was gone so ling it ended up cooking for 10 hrs on low instead of 8 so it had a tiny burnt flavour to it. Next time I will cook for about 6 hours on low to insure that doesn't happen again, because this is the best soup i have ever made. And, I don't think it's at all "soup-y chili" To me this is definatly a soup, it reminded me of a vegetable beef soup with a tex-mex twist! Thanks for a fabulous recipe!!

Tex-Mex Pasta Bake

This was DELICIOUS!! I was a little skeptical about the creamy spinach flavour mixing with the meaty mexican pasta flavour, but WOW...what a flavour sensation! This was one of the best casseroles I have ever fixed. I could not find creamed spinach, so I just defrosted some chopped spinach and added a little milk and sour cream to the pot while it was defrosting. Then I added the cream cheese. I did not mix in bowls per the recipe, as I felt it was an unessecary step. I had the 3 pot on the store (beef, pasta, and spinach) and then mixed the spinach in the spinach pot and the pasta, meat, salsa etc. in the beef pot. My husband said that this is his new favorite meal! Thanks!!!! I would give it 6 stars if I could!!

Chicken Breasts with Herb Basting Sauce

Cuban Midnight Sandwich

This was a VERY good sandwich. I followed the recipe as stated except for leaving off the pickle (personal preference...I don't like them) and I made them on whole wheat hamburger buns, b/c thats all I had on hand. I look foward to making them again on a whole wheat hoagie (we don't eat much white bread)and I might use a different kind of cheese b/c the swiss I bought took a long time to melt. Very good sandwich though!

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts

I used this recipe as a reference to make something unique. I had made a homemade spinach and artichoke dip that was to die for. I had some leftover and decided to stuff it in some chicken. So I followed this recipe except stuffed it with the creamy spinach and artichoke mixture instead of the feta spinach. This was unreal! My husband was in heaven. I will def. make this again and again...but with the spinach artichoke dip spooned in as we are not fans of feta cheese. I think this is a great recipe to follow to stuff chicken with whatever you have on hand, or just to suit your preference. Thanks so much for a great way to make chicken!

Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry

Very good. I like this healthy and yuumy meal. I didn't add quite as much black pepper (family preference) and substituted beef stock for the water. THere is a lot of natural flavor in this dish and my family loved it. Will make again and again!

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

This was a hit with my 5 year old and my husband and I.... i did add some veggies (onion, zuchinni, and red bell pepper) for nutritional value and cut the brown sugar way down. i also substitiuted beef stock for the water for a little more flavor. Great sucess with my family and my daughter and husband asked for this to be in our regular meal rotation! Thanks so much!!!

Oysters Rockefeller from USA Weekend

Made this as a sidedish last night for my husband... It's impossible to get fresh oysters here this time of year so I used canned oysters and it was great!! I did add horseradish and texas pete to the spinach mixture and it was amazing!!! Thanks!!!!

Beer-Boiled Shrimp

wow!!! this was amazing!!!! The only thing i did differently was to add some garlic when the onions were almost done!! YUMMY!! the sauce this made is amazing and I am going to freeze it and make some kind of stew with it.... I do wish I had brought the beer to a boil and then put the shrimp in but it was amazing no matter what!!!! would give it six stars if i could!!!
