Baked Beans III

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2006
This is a keepr recipe! I use Bushes Original beans. The only thing I changed is that I do the bacon and brown sugar step in the oven. Then I pour the beans over that, stir and stick back in the oven. My in-laws loved it when I brought it for a bbq. My kids beg for me to make it again and again!!!

Tantalizingly Tangy Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 11, 2006
We all loved it! This is the first time I made meatloaf and someone didn't run for the ketchup. This will be added as a regular in our home. Only problem was that the recipe said 8 servings and it definitly wasn't enough. Next time I will double it. This

Daria's Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: May 14, 2006
For some reason my sauce was too thin and the parsley gave it an aftertaste. I will try it again and add less parsley and less liquid.

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: May 19, 2006
These were easy to make and didn't take nearly the time stated. My bacon was half frozen and easy to work with. Not a huge hit but will keep the recipe to make again.

Another keeper recipe! The kids loved it and suggested adding shredded cheese on top next time. Thanks!

Apricot Honey Glazed Carrots

Reviewed: May 25, 2006
Good change from plain carrots but I think I will use less apricot next time to cut down on the overwhelming flavor.

Red and Green Christmas Jalapeno Jelly

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2006
If there were more stars available I would rate this jelly higher! I followed the recipe exactly and licked the pot before I washed it! I got 5-8oz jars and I made it to give away but I may have to make another batch so I can keep some too.

Drink Mix Jelly

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2006
Very easy! The kids picked watermelon/kiwi koolaid. When I finished filling the jars the kids grabbed bread and wiped the pot clean. This will be fun to give with fresh baked bread to friends and new neighbors.

Lemony Fish in Foil

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2006
There was not enough flavor and the foil made it too watery.

Delicious! My 8 year old wants me to make them every school day for breakfast and it's still June. Doubled the recipe. Used dried eggs.
