About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I really love baking of any kind. I use my Dad's bread recipe, which is the best I've ever had. I like to make things from scratch as much as possible, and usually adapt recipes to make them healthier.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking and sharing recipes with my daughter. We both typically show our love for our friends and family by making them something yummy!
My cooking triumphs
No spectacular triumphs, just the satisfaction that comes from making things that keep my family healthy and happy.
My cooking tragedies
A blueberry pie that slid backwards off of the oven rack, dumping most of the filling onto the hot oven floor. I wanted to cry, and throw the stove out.

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos
These are absolutely delicious! The sweet potato perfectly balances the spicy beans. I used black beans, and per other reviews, much less water. I topped with sour cream, and left off the cheese. Tasty, good for you, and easy to make!

Caramel Popcorn
Absolutely addictive! This is the perfect, ultimate crunchy, sweet caramel corn. I'll never use another recipe!

Billy's Favorite Gingerbread Spiced Coffee Syrup
This is absolutely wonderful. I opted to double the spices so that I could have plenty of flavor without too much sweetness, and that suited my taste perfectly. It's sweet, but also has the warmth of the ginger, cinnamon and pepper. Really a brilliant combination! I use it in both hot and iced coffee, I love it in both. I think it's important to use the whole spices when possible; that way they infuse the syrup and don't settle on the bottom. Thanks for sharing a great recipe!
