Chicken Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
Thanks for the recipe! Had to do some substitutions but the overall result was great. Since browning sauce not easy to find on west coast, I used Worcestershire sauce. To help with the calorie count, I used low fat sour cream and low fat organic milk instead of cream. We had leftover roasted chicken that replaced the chicken breasts. Added peas and carrots for a one bowl supper. Definitely a keeper!

Maple Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
Very good recipe with a few tweaks! Added cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice since we like more spice. Reduced the maple syrup but also added a couple of tbls of flour to the apple mix - prevents the "runs" and the juices set up like a sauce. Definitely a keeper! Thanks for posting...

Sally's Spinach Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
Very nice update to basic mashed potatoes! Added a touch of garlic and used plain yogurt instead of sour cream since that was what I had on hand. Will probably tinker with the spices a little more to suit our tastes but definately worth repeating. Thanks!

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2006
Very easy - made it a little simpler and more flavored by using crushed Stove Top stuffing mix with some Italian seasoning and powdered garlic added. Tried it with the garlic infusion but the flavor was not strong enough for us. Great to use for strips / fingers. Thanks for the recipe!

Pumpkin Nut Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2005
Good recipe - made a few changes... Added chopped pecans and chocolate chunks. Also added clove and used real maple syrup in place of the refined sugar. I would have prefered more spice - will try adding ginger next. Everyone at work loved them!

Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2005
Overall, flavor was good - with some tweaking. Added the vanilla, cinnamon, and brown sugar as everyone recommended. Instead of adding milk, I used 2 dead ripe bananas mashed up and thinned with water to make the required amount (works great as a binder at high altitudes). Dough was a bit dry so I just added a little more water. Muffins came out just right on my sweetness scale!
