Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
These are my childhood favorite. I make them every christmas. Thing is I'm lazy, so i created a different recipe with the same dough, so i get two types of cookies for the same work. Instead of rolling them in powdered sugar, i roll some in regular granulated sugar and then after they come out of the oven, i pop a hershey hug on top. they're pretty and again, two cookies with the effort of one. no one even recognizes they're the same. easy peasy

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2011
i did this last minute to go with dinner..made it in a skillet to start..then finished off in the microwave. not with fresh herbs, so used far less..also added a few big squeezes of honey.didn't have raw potatoes, so added a chopped up can of white potatoes/not sweet potato either, so left that out. not bad

PHILLY Blackforest Stuffed Cupcakes

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
I loved these, although i use a regular cream cheese frosting or chocolate frosting..i also made these with lemon cupcakes and lemon pie filling instead. then i mix a 8oz of cool whip w/a tub of lemon icing and frost them. everyone loves it..sometimes i then top with yellow sugar sprinkles. it gets rave reviews everytime i make it as cupcakes or cake

Caramel Brownies III

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
To the people who said these were too rich, there is not such a thing. It's just a matter of how much milk you'll need to eat them, lol. Make sure if you take these to a party to take a gallon of milk as well!

Husband's Delight

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2010
I rate this 5 starts because my husband loves it so much. Seriously, I cook a lot of awesome stuff, but this is the one my husband remembers..maybe bc it has a name.. anyway, i use diced tomates w/chilies, don't use the cream cheese (just more sour cream) I don't layer the sour cream in, I mix it with my cooked noodles. then layer the noodles, beef/tomato mixture, cheese & repeat. i like to chop up green onions to spread over the top and throw in a bit of garlic powder. it's not the best recipe I have by far, but for how much my husband loves it and how easy it is..you can't go wrong oh i cook the reg onion in with the ground beef once it's about half done..this helps when your onions aren't quite as sweet

Fettuccini with Mushroom, Ham and Rose Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
Another recipe my husband found and made for me when we were dating. It's great! The only thing we changed is to use a lot less butter. it's a very rich recipe, so if you serve anything with it, I'd stick to a nice cool salad.

Portobello Mushroom, Fresh Peppers and Goat Cheese Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
This is one of our favorite pizzas at our house. My husband found this recipe when we were dating. We frequently take it to parties and our friends love it. very unique flavor combination, just be careful not to go overboard with the balsamic vinegar.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
Like most people I cooked chicken/veggies in stock and added poultry seasoning and powdered garlic..but what i thought made the biggest difference was adding some red pepper flakes for an extra kick. made it for my relativies and they said it was better than the pot pie they had at marie callenders.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
These were awesome. ONe night I was craving brownies and didn't have a mix. Most of the recipes I found called for the chocolate squares. I was so happy to find one that used cocoa powder. These fit the bill and more than satisfied my cravings. I'm not sure I'd agree with 24 servings..I'd say closer to 10, lol.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2005
This was a fantastic recipe. Very easy to make, I don't understand why some had problems with it. I did add some pizza seasonings to the mix before I added the flour, then used it to make a white pizza(sauceless). I halved the dough, to save the other half, spun it out and put it on a medium baking stone..brushed with oil and minced garlic, cooked it at the recommended temp for 7 minutes, then topped, cooked for 12 more then broiled for a couple.. we used fresh mozzarella, fresh tomato, mushrooms, sausage, with a bit of goat cheese. It was fabulous and as good as a lot of restaurants I've been at.
