Lentils And Spinach

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
a delicious vegetarian dish! definitely make sure the onions are nice & brown, this adds wonderful flavor. I too, doubled the lentils (I used red) & used broth in place of the water & then omitted the salt. I used a bunch of fresh spinach instead of frozen & served with warm whole wheat naan. thanks -it was DELICIOUS!

Hot and Sour Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2008
delicious! quick & easy. I used tofu instead of chicken & increased the soy sauce to 3tsp (lite). oh & I omitted the bamboo just because I didn't have any... this will be a popular recipe at our house from now on, thanks!!

Herbed Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2007
these were delicious! I put them with slow cooker chicken & dumplings from this site (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Slow-Cooker-Chicken-and-Dumplings/Detail.aspx) and they turned out great. I did follow the advice to just use 1/2tsp salt & they were very tasty!

Sensational Salmon Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2007
this was delicious. I think it needs some kind of a light, creamy lemony sauce - I will have to play around with a sauce for next time. I used 2 frozen (cooked) filets (from the big bag from Sam's Club) broken up with a fork & it was the perfect amount of salmon. cooked it in an 8x8 pan. don't omit the hot sauce, it gives it just a hint of spice that is a nice complement to the fish.

Cream of Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2007
this was delicious!! I used an 8oz pkg of sliced mushrooms & it was perfect. I also blended most of the onion/mushroom mixture after sauteeing because I don't like the huge mushroom pieces, it turned out really good. my family LOVED it!

Pumpkin Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2006
I took this to a Christmas party and it got great reviews! tips: I used about 1TB or more of orange juice. you could use less of the pie spice & even more cream cheese. it would look really pretty if you swirled cream cheese through the dip before serving... overall: great!

Crustless Cheese Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2006
a delicious and VERY EASY quiche. I added some minced onion & used chopped ham lunchmeat instead of bacon. everyone was impressed - we ate it for dinner & will be making it again and again. (this would be easy to change by adding different meats and veggies!)
