Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
Very good!! I didn't even ice it...I did serve it with icecream and plan on drizziling it with Kahlua next time!!! YUMMO! Update: I made this cake again and added pecans, used mini chocolate chips, and used the glaze another review mentioned. I served it with icecream and it was amazing! The pecans really added a nice touch with all the chocolate and icecream...I'll be making this again real soon!

Garlic-Brown Sugar Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
Wow, I was skeptical to try this because of others reviews...but it looked so easy...I am so glad I made it!! My husband doesn't like too much vinegar...and I'm happy to report this WASN'T too vinegary. It was great! The only changes I made were that I used chicken breasts instead of a whole chicken and placed everything in the crockpot on low for 4-6 hours (I didn't marinate.) I thickened the sauce on the stove with cornstarch and water..and it turned out very good! I will definitely use this recipe again and again! Thanks for sharing it!

I followed others reviews and used: -chopped tomatoes and green chilis -added 2 cloves of garlic in with the beef mixture -cut the tomato soup down to one can -added cheese into the bottom of the peppers and the top -seasoned the mixture with italian seasoning, oregano, and basil They turned out good but they weren't show stoppers.

Best Ever Pie Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
This was a good crust. However, after it comes out of the refrigerator you need to knead it a few times in order to roll out a perfect dough.

Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
This pie had a good flavor....however, the sugar didn't dissolve well. It had a sandy sugar texture...I followed the recipe exactly and followed the other reviews baking at 300 for 55 minutes.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
These were good. I took others advice and cut down the sugar in the icing...turned out good. I just was hoping for some melt in your mouth-greaaat brownies! These weren't them..they were a mix between cakey and chewy....good flavor.

No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
These are very easy and taste good! I tried to reduce the butter to 3/4 a cup...and I don't recommend it because the topping was way too crumbly!

Mexican Chicken I

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
Very good! I followed others reviews and added the beans in with the salsa mixture along with some frozen corn. I reduced the heat to 375 and it was done perfectly in 50 minutes! The last 10 minutes I added sharp cheddar cheese on top and took off the cover. Will make again!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
I followed others reviews using chicken broth instead of water...adding garlic powder, parsley, and pepper, cutting my bisquits into pieces, using partially frozen chicken, and adding celery and carrots. Cooked in on High for the full 6 hours adding the dumplings at the last 90 minutes...but the dumplings tasted like biscuit dough....they were also still doughy so I had to cook them again...good flavor but just not like my Grandma's.
