Sweet Potato Pie I

EXCELLENT FLAVOR!!! Not too sweet for ME! But, I had to take a star away because going into the oven it was still a little lumpy. I mean I mashed, mixed, and even blended the filling (w/ an electric mixer) ‘til my arms became tired. It took forever to bake too. About 1 ½ hours. Probably because I used evaporated milk instead of regular milk. I thought it was too soupy. Otherwise it was good. I increased the cinnamon and nutmeg to a whole tsp, added a ½ tsp of allspice, and used ¾ cup white and ¼ cup brown sugar. I will definitely make this again using regular milk, a little flour to get the thickness I like, and 1 tsp of lemon extract or some rum like another rater suggested. Thanks submitter.

Little Meat Loaves

This was edible. I used 1/2 lb. ground pork sausage like another rater suggested. It had a very unique taste. I think a pound would have been overwhelming. Although the texture was great, I gave it 3 stars because I didn’t care for the sweet ketchup taste and the parmesan cheese sprinkled top made it look UGLY. Next time I make this I’ll keep the sausage, add in some diced red peppers, and definitely omit the parmesan on top as well as the brown sugar, it was just too sweet. Thanks anyway.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

This was great! Fast, easy, and flavorful. I seasoned the chicken to my taste with onion and garlic powder, pepper, and parparika. Only thing I would suggest is placing more ham and cheese on the chicken before rolling and spreading alittle mayo in chicken before using bread crumbs like another rater suggested. It helps the bread crumbs stay on. My household liked this. Will make again with dijon mustard for a change in flavor. Thanks submitter.

Savory Chicken Breasts

My b/f loved this. Unfortunately, I had to take a star away because I did not like the bread crumbs on top at all! Otherwise it was very flavorful. I seasoned the chicken to my taste with garlic and onion powder, parparika, pepper, and adoboe. I also replaced the regular cream of chicken soup with cream of chicken and HERB as another rater suggested. This soup made it really good. Thanks submitter.

Ziti with Italian Sausage

This was very good. I did not use celery or the whole box of pasta. I used sweet italian sausage, 1 can of mushrooms, and meatless spaghetti sauce. Next time I'll use sauce with meat. Thanks submitter.

Glazed Pork Chop

Although I altered this recipe it was still very fast and easy. I seasoned the chops with salt and pepper, browned the chops in alittle oil. I added carmelized onions and a bit more brown sugar to the mixture. Placed in oven just long enough to let the sauce bake on because cooking chops in a skillet keeps chops tender. Served with honey glazed carrots, corn on cob, and corn bread. Will make agian. Thanks
