Red Cabbage and Apples

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2007
This was a very delicious recipe. I presteamed my cabbage. When it was time to prepare the rest of the dish I simply sauted the onions and apples 10-15min then added everything else. it was done after about 5 min. of simmer time! I also substituted with the brown sugar and cider vinegar.

Pork Medallions

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2012
I made this for my family and it went over very well. I served it with buttered noodles and a small lightly dressed chopped vegetable salad. This was such a hit and the only thing I changed was I used canned mushrooms instead of fresh...thats what I had.

Kay's Spaghetti and Lasagna Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
Awesome sauce! Afterr eading reviews I revised a bit. I used 1-28oz can of tomato puree(increased thickness) and 1-28oz can of diced tomatos (which I processed in food processor). I browned 2 lbs of gr beef separately to drain off fat! I used 1 green pepper, 2 yellow onions and 8 garlic cloves chopped and sauted till soft in a little bit of olive oil. i then added the cookedbeef and followed the rest of therecipe. I simmered 2 hrs. Very nice blend!

I am so glad I tried this recipe again. I admit I didn't pay attention to the instructions to not stir once it began to boil! I followed the directions precisely and loved the results. A beautiful caramel sauce that taste excellent!!

Chef John's Italian Meatballs

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2013
This recipe is super and easy. It is the homemade taste I have been looking for. I made a few changes due to what I had on hand. I used 2 lbs. beef and 1 lb. Italian sausage. instead of fresh parsley and garlic I substituted with 3 teaspoons garlic salt with parsley in it and held the salt as well. The rest of the ingredients were increased by 50% to accommodate the extra beef. I got 60 meatballs out of my batch!

Breakfast Pizza I

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2013
I made this for a get together with some friends. Everyone thought it was fantastic! I made a few modifications. I used 2 cans of crescent rolls to cover a 15 inch pizza pan using the same method of separating the triangles. I did overlap the points in the center, 1/2 inch approximate. I placed a piece of parchment paper to make the pizza slide right off the pan. I had enough dough to roll the edges slightly to make a pretty crust. I also microwaved a 3 medium potatoes till tender and ran them under cold water just to cool them. I peeled and roughly chopped them placed them
