Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

This recipe was fantastic! My husband took one look at it and said he didn't believe it would work. Boy, was he wrong! I doubled the recipe and substituted 2 cups of Splenda for the 2 cups of sugar. I also took the advise of others and added 1tsp of vanilla. I rolled them in balls then baked them for 5 min. I then took them out and did the classic criscross patter on the top with a floured fork, then baked them for about 5 more minutes. I did let them sit on the cookie sheet for a few minutes before removing them so they could set. My kids couldn't stop eating them. Due to health reasons I can't have sugar and have to really watch my carbs. These cookies really fit the bill. Thanks for such a great recipe. This will be a regular for me.

Monkey Bread I

I made this with only a few changes. I took some of the other suggestions. I used 4 cans of Walmart Buttermilk Biscuits. I made 1 1/2 times the amount of glaze adding 1tsp vanilla. I baked it about 35 minutes in a bundt pan and turned it out on to a plate immediately. It was PERFECT!!!. My family loved it so much, they couldn't stop eating it. Monkey Bread was one of my Husband's favorite childhood treats. I have never made it before, nor did I tell him I was going to make it. When he saw it, it was so perfect, he thought I bought it at a store. He couldn't believe I had made it. I will definetly make it again and again. Thanks for a great recipe!

No Bake Cookies V

The only change I made was using creamy Peanut Butter instead of Crunchy. I made this with two of my boys. One stirred while the other two of us measured and put the ingredients in. It was fun and they turned out great! They set up so fast I barely had time to get them on the silicon baking sheets. My youngest son, who is 4, protested when I said I was going to make them. He didn't like the idea of the oatmeal. After they were done, he LOVED them. He didn't even realize the oatmeal was in there. Great recipe. I will definitely make these again.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

This fudge was very good, but VERY SWEET. It was easy to make. I boiled it for 6 1/2-7 min. I left it in the refrigerator for about 6 hours because I was making other things and forgot about it. When I got it out it was difficult to cut, but I finally got the job done. It is very creamy and did I say SWEET? I will make this again.

Holiday Peppermint Bark

This was excellent. I followed the advice of others and put a layer of semi sweet choc on the bottom. I put it in the freezer while I melted the white chocolate. I also added 1 tsp of peppermint extract to the white chocolate. I did try to work fast, but still had a little streaking of the dark chocolate. I then put the candy canes on top and put back in the freezer. The only other problem I had was one spot of the dark chocolate, about the size of a piece of bread, that didn't harden on the bottom. My husband didn't mind. He had some to snack on off the parchment paper. It was a little difficult to break up, but I used a knife to break it up. Very good and I will make again.

Ranch Ham Roll-Ups

These were very good. My family really enjoyed them. I made half with Ham and half with turkey. I also added shredded cheddar cheese to them. I will say by the second day, they didn't taste very good. This recipe made a lot of roll ups, so if you aren't going to eat them all the first day it might be better to half the recipe. I will try these again.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

This recipe was good, but tooo Sweet. I know that sounds strange, but I had a hard time eating them. I have always thought that was wierd when other people said it, but now I know what they mean. The only problem I had was getting them out of the pan. They were so soft, they started breaking. Baking them in mini muffin cups would solve that problem. My family liked them OK, but they certainly were not the first cookie gone from the selection of cookies I made. I probably will not make them again.

Snickerdoodles V

This is the first time I've ever made Snickerdoodles and they turned out great! I used 1/2 C shortning and 1/2 C butter. I made them for my sister, because they are her favorite cookie. They quickly became a favorite of my kids and was one of the first cookie gone from the selection I made. They are still soft days later. This will be a favorite cookie recipe of mine. Thanks.

Scottish Shortbread II

My husband's family is Scottish and we love this recipe. It is so simple and great tasting. I've probably made it a dozen times and it will continue to be a favorite of my family. I double the recipe with no problems. I also make it with Splenda instead of sugar most of the time. It still turns out great.

These were excellent! I loved them and will make them again. I did have to keep dipping them in the powdered sugar a few days later, because it all fell off. But, lots of powdered sugar is a must, so I didn't mind. Thanks.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies IX

I just pulled these out of the oven and they are fabulous!!! The only changes I made were adding 1 1/2 Cups of brown sugar instead of the 1 Cup. I also used Quick Oats. My 5 year old is dancing around the kitchen asking for another one. I will make these again really soon. Thanks for the great recipe.

Chocolate Trifle

I used someone elses suggestion of layering brownies, carmel, heath toffey bits, pudding mixture, and whipped cream. It was very good. I mixed the pudding and water, then whipped in 1/2 pint heavy cream instead of stiring in whipped cream. I have a large trifle bowl, so I had to use 2 boxes of pudding and 1 pint of heavy cream. It was gone so quickly I didn't even get any, but everyone enjoyed it very much.

Slow Cooker Chicken Dinner

I have been trying new slow cooker recipes because it's football season and we don't get home until about 9pm to have dinner. Slow Cooker meals make life much easier. I thought this recipe was really good! I did add 1 can of corn, which was a nice addition. My teen and pre-teen loved it. My 6 year old didn't want to touch it with a ten foot pole, until he tasted it, then he loved it too. We used about 3 lbs of chicken breasts, 5-6 regular potatos, 1/2 bag of baby carrots, 1 can corn, 1 can cream of chicken, 1 can cream of mushroom, garlic salt, a little milk, and some spices added by my husband. This made enough for my family of 5 with some leftovers. I will definetly make this again.

Peanut Butter Cookies with Chocolate Chunks

These were pretty good. The only thing I changed was I used Brown Sugar Splenda Blend because I didn't have enough regular brown sugar. The cookes are very soft. I took them to a party and everyone liked them. They were gone very quickly. I'm not sure how I personally liked the peanutbutter and chocolate toger, although I normally like that combination very well. Everyone else liked them, so I will probably make them again. I may use more oatmeal in the future.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

This was pretty good. My children really enjoyed it. I used chicken broth and about 2 cans water to cover the two cans of cream of chicken, butter, onions, and three chicken breasts. I cooked on low for 8 hours adding the biscuits 3 hours before serving. I couldn't find a 10 oz can of biscuits, so I used two 7.5 oz cans. Unlike other users who said 1 can of biscuits was plenty, I will use 3 next time as there was quite a bit of chicken and sauce left with no dumplings. This recipe is very easy and I will make it again.

Graham Streusel Coffee Cake

I really was suprised at how good this was. I made if for a breakfast for dinner get together. I had several comments that it tasted like it had come from a professional bakery. I made it in a bunt pan. I put a small amount of batter at the bottom, a layer of the streusel, another layer of batter, another layer of streusel, and one final layer of batter. I used cinnamon graham crackers and a yellow butter cake mix. I baked it for 55 minutes. Not only did it taste good, but it was very visually appealing with the two layers of streusel in the cake slices. This is the first coffee cake I've ever made and I will definitely be making it again. Thanks for a fabulous recipe.

Super Sausage Gravy

This is a very good recipe. I have made sausage gravy before without a recipe, but I liked having something to give me the correct ratios of ingredients. I made this for a breakfast for dinner get together for 14 people. I trippled everything in the recipe except the sausage. I used two lbs. It was nicely preportioned and made just the right amount. This will be my staple sausage gravy recipe.

Oklahoma Cheese Grits

I made these for a breakfast pitchin for work. They were very good. I used 8oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese and 8 slices of processed american cheese. For the salt, I used 2 tsp garlic salt and 1 tsp regular salt. I left out the worcestershire sauce. I baked them in my slow cooker crock, then plugged it in when I got to work to keep them warm. It worked great! I will make these again.

Guacamole

This is the first time I've made guacamole. I have always liked it, but my husband not so much. I doubled the recipe and used the following ratios: 6 Avacados, 1 lime, 2 tsp salt, 1/2 onion chopped, 4 small tomatos, 1/3 bunch chopped cilantro, 2 cloves garlic. I would have liked to use a whole onion, but my husband doesn't like onion so much. He loved this guacamole and had me make two batchs in a week. The first batch, I used 2 limes and it was too much. 1 lime in the 2nd batch was perfect. This will be a regular for us.
