Purple Monstrosity Fruit Smoothie

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
I modified this recipe a bit based on other reviews and my fridge :-) I used 2 bananas, not frozen, about 1 cup of frozen blueberries, 1 cup of blueberry yoghurt (didn't have juice, but yoghurt), vanilla and 2 tablespoons oat meal. This was my busy mom's (of an even busier toddler) lunch ;-) Now I have a new way of getting rid of dark bananas instead of muffins :-D Thanks for the inspiration!

Lemon Yogurt Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2010
I made these as lime muffins, as I had some limes left. I used the juice of one lime in the dough instead of just 1 tablespoon. I used plain yogurt. They are very good and tender. Not too sweet and not too sour, just perfect! Me and my friend enjoyed them today with cofee. I hope my husband will also like them ;-)

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
This was very good! However, a bit runny (but maybe I didn't measure accurately), but did not soak the crust. I browned the meat instead of boiling and cooked the veggies in the chicken broth that I used for the "sauce". I also added a bit garlic powder and cayenne pepper along with the other spices. Thanks for the recipe!

Black Bottom Cupcakes I

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2009
Hmmm, these were great! I made them for work and I should have done at least double batch... I cannot stand the smell of vinegar, so I did not use it at all. I used one egg and filled to 1 cup with water instead. It worked great. I was a bit concerned about filling the moulds only to 1/3, but they rose perfectly just to the rim! The ratio of dough and filling was perfect for me. I think they need refrigerating and are better the next day. This was great, because I had to bake them the evening before. Thanks for the recipe!

Dirt Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
We had so much fun making this for a friend's birthday! We bought a large flower pot and a real flower in pot, carefully wrapped the flower and pot in foil and embedded in the cake... A girl thougt iht was "only" a flower and put it away from the table just before we wanted to serve it ;-) For more realistic dirt pieces, we rolled round choco-cocos-rum balls in pudding and then in the "dirt". Everyone loved it and was laughing.

Italian Heroes

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
These were delicious! I needed a recipe to use up rucola, and this was a nice twist! I do not assemble and refrigerate them in advance. The first time I had fresh crispy bread and I wanted it to stay crispy ;-) and now I just assemble them just before eating. Or I just put all ingredients on the table and everyone assembles them as they like (using more or less of every ingredient to taste). Thanks for the great recipe!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
These are, sorry, _were_ great! I dind't do any frosting and they were still great! They had a little cinnamon-caramel sauce underneath after baking. I should try to produce more of it ;-) I don't have a bread machine, just trew everything in my machine with kneading hook. The dough was perfect and relatively easy to work with. The rolling was a bit tough, but worked in the end. I used a cheese knife (serrated with holes in it, so that the cheese won't stick to it) to cut the dough - it worked perfectly. Thanks for the great recipe! I can't wait to do it again!

Linzer Torte Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2006
These taste great! You just have to be patient and let the cookies soften. Many "European" Christmas cookies are quite hard after baking, but they're supposed to last longer, and usually get better, the longer they're stored! The dough was hard to roll out, but then I used foil to roll them and it worked. I used red currant jam - as in the real Linzer Torte. Give them a try!

Lava Lamps

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2006
These were great! I had to use only one table spoon of the gelatine shots per glas (only had one Jell-O package), but I will definitelly make them again. Thanks for the great idea!

Best Apple Crumble

Reviewed: May 18, 2006
Best Apple Crumble - nomen est omen. It really crumbles, but tastes great! The coconut flakes add an extra twist.
