I'm a 27 year old working mom, and I've been cooking since I was a kid. Both my parents worked full time, so my brothers and I made dinner for ourselves a lot. I pride myself on my cooking ability, and have come a long way since my Hanburger Helper days. My husband doesn't cook much, so I'm always making dinner for him and his friends, especially around college football season. People are always asking me for recipes and ideas, even my parents, and they've been at this twice as long as me! With a busy schedule I'm always looking for simple, yet healty and tasty week night meals.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook it all. I especially love to make lasagna(people say that it's better than my mom's, but we don't tell her). I also like to make a special version of macaroni and cheese, and I have a mean brownie recipe. I'm always willing to try new recipes, and that's why I love coming here! My husband's family is also VERY Greek, so I've been trying a lot authentic dishes lately. It's challenging, but the outcome is totally worth it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family makes cannolis every year around Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
I make Thanksgiving dinner for my in-laws every year, and they always rave about it. They're started calling me Martha Stewart.
I also love to make food for a crowd. We host at least 2 college football parties every year where I make all of the food. People always rave about how good it was!
My cooking tragedies
I make horrible pancakes, and I always seem to burn muffins.
