About this Cook
Mommy of two active, rambunctious toddlers, one boy one girl. I'm looking forward to cooking nutritious, delicious meals, and improving my techniques.
My favorite things to cook
Any pasta out there. Love it, but I also love to try new things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Roasting, and barbeque. We are from the Maritimes, and Hodge Podge defintaly is a must through the growing season.
My cooking triumphs
Any time that something I bake turns out. I'm prefer the art of cooking to the science of baking, mostly because I like to tweek recipes while I cook, and rarely have the recipe with me let alone follow it...not good for baking.
My cooking tragedies
When I forget what I put into something that I'm cooking. I don't write down what I put into things and rarely measure, so when something is fantastic I have to rely on memory.

Marshmallow Fondant
added wintergreen flavouring and somehow it came out tasting like minty bubblegum, it was pink too, great for the toddlers that I was making it for, like a candy playdoh

Chocolate Syrup
So easy! Excellent, I used the simple syrup method from another user (heat the sugar and water until sugar dissolves, then add cocoa) worked great. I love that I can show my children what is in their food, and waste less plastic by buying the container in the grocery store. Thank you Zen K!
