Addictive Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2012
These were very good! I didn't follow the recipe 100 % because I had no applesauce on hand but replaced it with vegtable oil which in turn probibly made mine a little bit more moist. I made full mounded muffins and in 25 mins they were done, so you might want to watch them. I think the taste is wonderful and you can play with this recipe. I also put strusel topping on 1/2 of mine (family preference). I think this recipe is a keeper. Thanks for sharing!

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2012
This salad is awesome! The only thing I changed was I put 1/2 the sugar in. First time I made it was as per recipe which was good but a little too sweet for me.. Now its perfect not like it wasn't good in the first place. Thanks for sharing Connie!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2012
This banana bread is FANOMIMAL! I have never had such a moist and delicous banana bread and I have tried tons of recipes. The first time I made this it was exactly to the recipe for I had 5 medium bananas to use. Results were AWESOME! The second time I only had 3 bananas but I wanted that banana flavoring like the first recipe so I put a package (4 serving) banana cream instant pudding I had on hand with 3 tbls of veg oil for moisture and it came out even better. (not that this recipe isn't perfect already) I also put it raisins and walnuts and now my hubby and all his friends want this on hand at all times. Thanks You Shelly! I have finally found the perfect banana bread!

Coconut Poke Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2012
This cake is unbeleivabley delicous. This tops any coconut cake I have ever tried. The only changes I made is that on my 3rd making of this cake, I added coconut extract to the packaged cake mix. (duncan Hines) is everyones favorite with this cake. I tried many store brands and bc and everyone liked the dh better. For those events that the cake will be out of the fridge a bit. Use dream whip with a little less milk in it to hold the frosting form without turning runny. Besides that this cake needs no altering at all.. It's Perfection at its best!

Sweet and Tangy Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
I have been looking all over for a Broccoli Salad that was similar to a salad that was served with a local fish fry that my family fell in love with. I have combed the internet and have tried 6 so far then I tried this recipe. This by far is THE BEST!. As a matter of fact this recipe even topped the original salad we loved so much. I do recommend however since I made this twice in a 24 hour period LOL, that you do not drain the bacon grease. It is not that much grease and the flavor goes throughout the entire salad. What an awesome salad! Thanks Dina for sharing this!

Bow-Tie Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2012
I would give this a 10 star if I could. This by far is the best pasta salad I ever had. I too was skeptical about sugar being in a pasta salad but that is what makes this so unique. My family is very picky and normally won't even eat macaroni or pasta salads and they woofed it all down. Next time I will make a double batch so I can have some leftovers. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe!

Sylvia's Ribs

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
Totally AWESOME recipe. I would give this a 10 star if I could. I did not boil the ribs first. I always found that it took flavor away. I put a rub on the ribs baked at 250 for 3 hours then put that delecious sauce on the ribs and baked at 350 degrees for 1 hour.. Awesome.. My family can't get enough of this.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
Awesome flavor! This recipe is perfect when you omit the water. I made this twice now and ommited the water the second time and it was perfect. I also added 5 cups more of the apples since I love mostly apples and the topping couldn't be more perfect .. Thanks for sharing.

Barbequed Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2006
Congratulations Gail! You made the hubby very happy with this recipe and he doesn't have to take me to my favorite restraunt for ribs anymore. This recipe by far beat their flavor. What an awesome blend of spices and your sauce is to die for. I didn't have much time and didn't let them sit overnight (only 3 hours) and mine came out a little tough. I will make sure it sits overnight from now on. No need to tinker with this recipe for it is perfect. Thanks sooooo much!

Beef or Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2006
This is an awesome marinade! Everyone ranted and raved about the flavor. I marinaded chicken breasts for kabobs for 24 hours. They were so tender and moist after cooking. I did however add some garlic pepper and extra honey. Thanks for the wonderful addition to the recipe book.

Grilled Garlic Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2006
Good recipe! I have been making these potatoes for years but never put cheese in them. What a great twist from the plain. I used Sargento's low fat mild cheddar cheese and I can't beleive its not butter to watch fats. I also put pam on foil to prevent sticking and I had no trouble like other reviewers. Awesome results! Thanks for sharing!

Banana Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2006
Excellent Pie! Made it twice now. First time as is. Got rave reviews! Second time I added a few ingredients to make it a banana split cake type. Just added a layer of strawberry ice cream syrup (that I had to use up)and drizzled it with chocolate syrup. Wow! As for the reviewers that had problems with the cream cheese becoming creamy.. always bring your cream cheese to room temp when making a recipe or pop it in the microwave on defrost for a minute or two if your in a hurry. Thanks Kathy for the awesome recipe!

Allison's Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2006
Very Good Salad! What a nice change from ordinary macaroni salad. The sauce makes this salad. Don't be skeptical of the grapes as I was. It makes the salad. Also made this a second time and used chunk pineapple. Very good! Thanks for the wonderful new addition to our family's recipe rotation.

Corned Beef and Cabbage I

Reviewed: May 21, 2006
Great recipe! I used a giant roaster for this meal since we like a lot cabbage. This recipe is fool proof and always comes out perfect. I do put my carrots in with the meat cooking process since my family likes softer carrots and I add the potatos and cabbage together so you get no tough cabbage in the end. Thanks for the recipe!

Garden Veggie Pizza Squares

Reviewed: May 21, 2006
Awesome! These are always the first to go at any party. I have made these many times now and I found that if the cream cheese is room temperture the mixture is a bit softer so you can press the veggies into the cream cheese easier otherwise you lose alot of the veggies when slicing. This recipe is perfect as is or you can change some veggies to suit your taste. Thanks for the wonderful recipe!

Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: May 21, 2006
Wow! What an awesome appetizer! Besides the chopping these were very easy to make. Make sure you roll them tightly. Awesome flavor! You can add just about anything to these and they are wonderful. I made these as is and with 3/4 of ranch dressing mix and they went over well each time. Sliced ham with the veggies went over very well over all veggie ones. Make sure you take plenty of copies of this recipe for everyone will ask you for the recipe. Thanks for this wonderful recipe!

Basic Crepes

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2006
Excellent recipe! I do agree with the other reviewers with the 1 tbls sugar and vanilla. But I found I only add those things when its for fruit or something on the sweet side. I also added 1/4 cup extra milk to make it a little thinner. But I did make this recipe as is for an ommelet type breakfast and found the thinkness just right for heartier fillers. Thanks for another family favorite!
