About this Cook
Although I am a profession cook at work, I find it difficult to incorporate this into my home cooking. My family has diverse tastes and it is challenging for me to cook one meal to satisfy everyone. I look forward to sharing ideas with everyone!
My favorite things to cook
I love to create different pastas with fresh seafood and veggies. The different combinations of the two can be euphoric! Down home meals like fritters and corn bread are great too. Beef stews and chicken soups are awesome to make, they are never the same flavour twice.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Once in awhile when I have lots of patience and time, I let my two daughters help out in the kitchen.
My cooking triumphs
My greatest accomplishment is always getting that Christmas feast out on the table.
My cooking tragedies
Nothing shames a professional cook like messing up some simple task! This summer while we were camping with some of my husbands friends, I over cooked the steaks on the barbeque! I blame it on the beer though---lol

Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets
This was a big hit with my kids, they aren't too fussy about salmon and I love it and I am always looking for ways to cook it so they will like it. I didn't have any white wine so used a bit of lemon juice and it tasted great!
