About this Cook
To me making meals out of ingredients, not packages, is a way to show my love to my family and myself. I doubt that more than one meal a month is eaten out of our home and everything is made fresh from REAL food.

My cooking triumphs
I'm most proud of a resent dinner I cooked for my extended family. It was a completely vegan dinner of lasagna, salads, a rice dish and desserts. I feed it to my large family with their rather limited food palates and almost everyone asked for seconds. I was amazed!
My cooking tragedies
Sugar cookies as at 12 years old... still don't know what happened but they came out tasting like almond flavored oven cleaner.

Slow Cooker Beef Vegetable Soup
The ingredients were fine but the carrots weren't even close to soft after 6 hours on low in the crock pot.

Lemon Cupcake with Blackberry Buttercream
So this recipe did work... BUT I gotta admit I was kinda terrified the whole time it was in the oven. The batter was thick, and heavy, and seemed like I was going to end up with little cupcake flavored hockey pucks.... BUT they came out 20min later just perfect! I modified the icing because I fundamentally am against buttercream frosting that doesn't have cream in it - but the addition of the fruit jam was nice.

Frosted Corn Flake Cereal Clusters
There is NO way this could have turned out like the pictures with the current ratios. I notice that everyone else revealed in their reviews also that the amount of corn flakes needed to be increased significantly (I used 3cups). I also agree with others that its a little more balanced with regular corn flakes then frosted.
