About this Cook
I have been married for 28 years and have 6 children. I have been cooking since I was a little girl. I have always loved to cook.
My favorite things to cook
Red and green Chile. Mexican food also southern dishes such as fried catfish, mixed greens and cornbread I have to many to name
My favorite family cooking traditions
once year my family and friends get together and make tamales. we make about 40-45 dozen. Every year it grows someone always brings someone new to help. Since it happens around Christmas time we have Christmas music on and everything is just so festive.
My cooking triumphs
A friend of mine asked if she could use my house to have her wedding and reception. She said she had everything all planned out. The day before she found out there would be no cake. I made a 3 tier wedding cake along with bride and groom on the top. I must say it was beautiful. I had one day to pull this off and I did. My friend was so happy.
My cooking tragedies
When I was about 12 years old I made biscuits for my family's dinner. They came out of the oven, looked browned and perfect. when we sat down to eat nobody could eat them these biscuits were so hard . My little brothers used them for baseball practice and they still didn't break.

Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies II
I read the review that gave one star so was a bit worried but I tried it any way. I made them with my 10 kids and they were awesome! These cookies will be our Christmas cookie from now on. The kids make cookies every yearand these were the best ever! I used fresh nutmeg instead od mace. Thanks for this awesome cookie.
