Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2008
absolutely delickious! I used 1 lb hamburger and 1/2 lb ground sausage. Only used 1 can of beans. My flour tortillas had been previously been frozen and when sampled the now thawed tortillas -they tasated a lil' freezer burnt taste. I masked the flavor by putting alittle ranch dip on top of the flour tortillas before adding cheese layer... it was wonderful. Ranch dip or sour cream just adds another compliment to this flavored dish! Thanks for the simple yet delicious new favorite...

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2008
Family didn't care for it but the office people loved it. I think it tastes alot like the poppers. When I brought the rest home and no one at them - I just added the left over batch with the italian bread crumb topping to spaghetti I was making. It was great and the family never knew the secret ingredients.

Jalepeno Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
This is very similar to the cheese dip I have been making. People were amazed at the ingredients only being 4 items... But.. it went perfect with Ritz crackers to (top it off).... I usually use the bagged-grated (moz, cheedar, jack) type cheeses. I then used onion, mayo and canned jalepeno per taste. I never baked it. Left it in the refrigerator for several hours to let the mixture blend. I took it to school the next day in a bowl and serve it with Ritz crackers.. its delicious!!!When I served it ...within 1.5hrs ..it was gone. Thats about the fastest recipe to disappear I have made in my 12years. I'll try to bake it next time..interesting. thanks for sharing.

Soda Cracker Chocolate Candy

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2007
Awesome recipe. I have been making this for Christmas presents and parties and its a favorite. I never used parchment paper until I started making this recipe and now I dont use anything but parchment paper. I can reuse the paper and food/recipes doesn't stick to it. I use a pizza cutter to seperate the crackers apart, then slip the parchment paper candy onto a cooled pan into the freezer for a fast set. The crumbs that fall off are reused on the next batch or frozen for the next candy making session! Try using white chocolate with almonds on top and its excellent as well. Sometimes to make pre melt the chocolate and place it in a ziplock bag with a tiny tip cut out and squeeze lines thru the toffee bars for a decorative look!

Buttermilk Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2006
My new favorite! I have made it twice. The first time the crust almost burned before inside done- so the second time I microwaved the inside in a glass bowl for 2minutes to speed up the cooking time inside. I also cooked the pie crust in the oven- I love my crust flakey on the bottom- After the pie crust was lightly cooked I poured the microwaved pie mixture in the pie and cooked till the crust was a nice brown and the inside was done. Awesome! I speed up many recipes using the microwave to precook the insides alittle faster. Pies or casseroles or baked potatoes!

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
Definately a keeper! Have modified it and great results when using 1 stick butter/ 1 stick margarine if short on butter. Parchment paper is now my favorite liner, excellent results and no mess! I make a pan full and use only 1/2 chocolate drops- the other half I use grated almond bark. I top it with nuts like crushed almond/ pecan/ or walnut. *Left-over crumbs in the storage container are stored in a bag -frozen and reused for the next batch of cookies!!!
