Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2014
I followed the recipe but added Bailey's instead of cream at the finish. This made for the best grown up snow day drink we've ever had! Next time, Kahlua! Thanks for sharing a delicious and decadent recipe. Definitely in the Hall of Fame for winter drinks!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
Holy Mama! I just made this cake for a group of very serious dessert lovers and I am now a goddess. Here's what I did to improve this recipe: nothing, zilch, zero, nada. Stand alone spectacular, nuts and all. Tammy, I will never touch a thing. Thanks so much for sharing this! And, frankly, if you're commenting and adding pineapple or switching ingredients, you're talking about a different recipe entirely and should be listing it as a new recipe instead of rating the one that's posted. Just sayin'. :)

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
Whether I'm cooking for a crowd at the holidays or just our family, this is my favorite ham recipe! I use a bone-in shank half, usually over ten pounds (and always on sale, LOL!) I follow the recipe and also drizzle maple syrup over the top. Tightly cover the crock pot with foil (the lid won't fit) and DO NOT COOK FOR MORE THAN FIVE HOURS ON LOW. If you cook this ham for the full amount of time, it becomes brown and pulls away from the bone (not very appetizing.) At five hours, the ham is gorgeous, moist and delicious!

Chicken with Asparagus and Roasted Red Peppers

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2006
This recipe was fantastic! I pounded the chicken breasts and lightly dredged them in flour first. I sauteed them in olive oil and followed the recipe according to directions. Added a bit more chicken broth and garlic. The blend of flavors was so good (and colorful!) that I think I'll skip the cheese next time. The whole family loved it - even our resident asparagus-hater. We'll have this again. Thanks!

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2005
I make a lot of soup and this one is now on my top ten list. Absolutely fabulous! I used half the cream cheese and two cans of chicken broth. Can't wait to make it again. Thanks for sharing it.
