Great, easy alternative to baking brownies with eggs! First of all, the white sugar issue needs to be addressed because some of the comments here state that raw sugar is the only way to make this recipe vegan. It is possible to bake vegan with white sugar. You just need to be sure you are using beet sugar, which makes up about half of the white sugar sold in the U.S. It is very easy to come by, especially in the northern half of the country. Just google "beet sugar brands." You can likely find it at your nearest supermarket.
The only change I made when using this recipe was replacing half of the oil with vanilla soy milk, as one reviewer suggested. It definitely gave it more of a cake-like texture (which was still great), so next time I'll use all of the oil to get that gooey, brownie quality.
