Quick, easy and tasty meal. I seasoned my chicken with poultry seasoning and salt and sauteed it chunked with onion and garlic.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Easy Sausage Stuffing

Wild Rice and Asparagus Chicken Breasts

Very easy to make and extremely tasty. I am partial to brown rice (the 50 minute version) and used that. I also added sliced garlic with the asparagus. That helps to infuse garlic into the oil (which I didn't have peanut oil so I used 3 T of veg oil and 1 T sesame oil.) The final dish was absolutely delicious. A keeper in our recipe box.

Banana Nut Oatmeal

Surprisingly good! This is a quick, healthy breakfast and even my 5 year old really liked it. I didn't have honey so I used some brown sugar. I will definitely do this again. The oatmeal was a little chewy so I'll add a little more milk next time.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Very good. Place the meat in a bowl with 3 T. cornstarch and 1 T. water. Toss and work it in so all of the cornstarch is absorbed. This will thicken your sauce and has a smoother consistency than flour does. I doubled the sauce and added my favorite stir fry vegetables and served over Jasmine rice.

Pork Chops Stuffed with Smoked Gouda and Bacon

SUPERB! This was spectacular. I followed another recommendation of pan searing the chops. I deglazed the pan with a chardonnay and added some cream, and extra parsley, gouda and bacon with a sprinkle of salt. This sauce went wonderfully over the chops. As my husband says, "you can't go wrong with pork wrapped in pork".

Superb! So easy and the chicken is so flavorful and tender. I did add some sliced onion and used Dinosaur BBQ Sensuous Slathering Sauce. The perfect combination.

No Bake Bumpy Peanut Butter Nuggets

What a fun snack and great opportunity to let small children make it themselves. I did not have coconut or apple juice concentrate on hand so I used mini chocolate morsels and honey. I also added some flax seed which complemented the nuttiness and added some additional health value. These are much better served frozen - less of a mess. Very tasty and fun.

Vegetarian Four Cheese Lasagna

This is fantastic! I have never liked vegetarian lasagna and this can replace a meat one in my house any day. I had a lot of fresh veggies from the CSA (community supported agriculture) that I'm a part of so I made some additions to the recipe. I started by caramelizing half an onion sliced thin. Added a package of sliced baby bellas and chopped up one bunch fresh spinach. I roasted my eggplant 30 minutes in a 400 degree oven by first cubing it and sprinkling olive oil, minced garlic, salt and pepper on it and stirring it half way through. Then mixed the veggies together to be my veggie portion. I used home canned pumpkin and tomatoes in place of fresh and used no-boil noodles. I mixed my tomatoes in with the tomato sauce to make it spread easier. I also cut the feta down to 4 oz. It was the perfect portion. Note: If you want this dish to be truly vegetarian you need to find feta that does not have animal rennet in it which is the stomach lining.

Baked Chicken on Rice

Just didn't like the flavor. I think onion soup mix goes better with beef. It seems people either really like this or despise it. It was worth a try but I won't make it again - it was purely a flavor thing for me.

Tomato and Zucchini Melange

I chose this recipe because it reminded me of a dish my mom used to make when I was a child. I liked how it called for salsa which added some dimension to the dish. I also added some pressed garlic. I did not add water because I used a regular tomato which tends to be watery. Once it was plated I added shredded parmesan and crumbled feta. The feta did the trick. It was okay tasting until that was added.

Herbed Batter Rolls

Surprisingly good. I'm used to garlic herbed rolls and these were on the sweeter, lighter side. A nice change from the typical herbed roll. Be prepared for very gooey batter but they rose well and baked sooner than the time allotted for. I only needed to spray cooking oil (Pam) in the muffin pan and they didn't stick at all. Everyone loved it and they were very quick. I love how it didn't require kneading and only used one bowl.

Southern Pulled Pork

On its own I think the pork would be too bland, as other reviewers have said. Having lived in Nashville a few years and wanting a pulled pork slathered in sauce (as I am used to) I made a couple of changes that made this very appetizing and reminiscent of smokehouses. I kept everything in the preparation part of the recipe the same. I used vidalia onions. Instead of water I used 12 ounces of my favorite BBQ sauce and 12 ounces of a lager beer. I used the same amount of the liquid smoke. I started it in the slow cooker at breakfast time on high and four hours into it lowered it to low until dinner time. With one hour remaining I pulled the pork apart so the sauce could saturate all of the pieces. When it was finished I strained it and served it with a bottle of BBQ sauce on the side. Very delicious!
