Country Style Fried Potatoes
Yum! My family loved these, especially my husband who has his own recipes he usually makes. I agreed with the reviewer who used bacon grease in lieu of shortening and added a little dried onion powder along with the spices at the end. It was delicious!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup
Based on previous reviews, I was expecting something amazing. My kids loved the soup, but my husband and I thought it was just good, not necessarily 5 star quality. I did add a can of black beans because the soup seemed kind of thin and we like hearty soups, and used only about 1 cup of water since I used the juice from the cans of everything else, except I drained and rinsed the beans before adding at the end of the cooking time. Will make again, just not the best tortilla soup ever.

Thanksgiving Leftover Casserole
Delish! I had sour cream and chives mashed potatoes leftover and it went great with it. I used a suggestion and sauteed onions and garlic with the butter, then added flour and about 1/2 cup 1% milk; then mixed the sauce in with the turkey before layering on top. I also had leftover already-prepared stuffing and sprinkled it on top - it was perfect! My kids don't like stuffing but the flavors were so wonderful they didn't even notice there was stuffing on this :) The cheddar cheese is a great addition. A new post-THanksgiving favorite - thank you!
