Chicken Jambalaya

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
This was a great recipe and I only altered a little. I personally don't like tomatoes so I just used the drained juice from the can. I also added more cayenne for personal taste. This came out really really good, though.

Sweet 'n' Hot Glazed Salmon

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2010
I didn't have cinnamon or apricot preserves so used orange marmalade...maybe this was the problem, because the dish was bland

Rocky Road Popcorn Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2011
Made exactly as recipe is stated and was good, but the consistency of the popcorn came out a bit chewy. I will read the review on how to make it more crisp next time before I make again.

Baked Ziti II

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
I never thought I would say this, but, there was too much cheese....I prefer pasta with a lot of sauce and the cheese just overpowered it...definitely need to add some spices (ie. garlic) or it will be bland...if I make it again I would cut about cheese by 1/4 and double the sauce...I also might take the other suggestions and layer it

Amazing Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2006
I ran out of Mayo and used sour cream instead. I also added chili powder and garlic powder to the sour cream. Added a little parmesan to the bread crumbs and it all came out really great. Will definitely make again.

Kim's Eggnog Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2011
Made exactly as stated except used a water bath as some other suggested. I also let it sit in the oven, after turning off, overnight. I never opened the oven door the entire time. Absolutely perfect, no cracking! I also used spiked egg nog for an extra kick, it was exactly as I wanted it to turn out.

White Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
Maybe I got the wrong type of white chocolate but it was too thick and didn't coat the pretzels right.

Mediterranean Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2011
Kind of bland for my taste but the flavor was nice. Watch the cooking time. I didn't cook as long as the recipe says, maybe only 12 minutes and it was cooked perfectly.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2011
It was good but I may try another recipe for cheesecake as it didn't seem to be very sweet, almost dry. Next time I will cook at 325 degrees as it was a little over-done at 350 for an hour.

Fabulous Foolproof Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2007
I made a few changes...I cooked the italian sausage with a chopped onion and about 2 garlic cloves. I also used about twice as much sauce as the recipe called for. I also added 2 layers of mushrooms for my own personal taste. It tasted great, perfect amount of cheese and sauce. The reason I rate this is a 4 is because the "no-boil" noodles didn't taste quite the same as boiled noodles. The cooked fine but the texture was a little gummy. Next time I'll boil regular noodles and it will deserve a 5!

Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
Used canned veggies and this still tasted great! I didn't have browning sauce nor could I find it at the store, but it was still great without. I also didn't add the rice to keep a little healthier. I did add a couple of bay leaves and thyme.

White Chocolate Pretzel Snack

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2011
Very easy and tastes great! I will double the recipe next time to make more. I recommend breaking down the pretzels into smaller pieces as other suggested. I put on wax paper and put in fridge to cool. Perfect!

Southern Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2011
Perfectly cooked meat! I used the pork butt cut of meat. I changed up the recipe slightly - didn't use butter or brown in skillet, instead I put everyting in the crock pot as another review recommended. I used the cajun seasoning, garlic, and some pepper and rubbed on the meat before placing in the crock pot with onion. I prepared everything except for the water and liquid smoke the night before so I could just add those ingredients in the morning when I left for work. When I got home it was done. I then drained the stock, pulled the pork, returned to crock pot and added bbq sauce, red pepper flakes, and hot sauce (personal preferences, but plain bbq sauce can work). I let the flavors mix in a bit and served on onion rolls, perfect!

Was not a fan of the Italian Dressing and the sausage and mushrooms...the flavors just didn't go well together for me.

Pot Roast in Foil

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
This is so easy....I love it! Instead of placing in baking dish and foil I put this in a regular pot and cover it and its super moist and tasty. I usually cut up potatoes, onions, and carrots and put them around the edges of the pot roast. The natural juices and mushroom mixture makes them taste delicious.

Double-Cheese Meat Loaf

I love this recipe and always get compliments when I serve it. You only need a small pinch of oregano, but that's the only thing I changed.
