Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
This is excellent with some tweeking. I made just half a recipe but used two cans of tuna (one was pretty skimpy) and added half a soup can of milk to the soup. I skipped the mushrooms and used celery instead. Wish I had used more. My only complaint is the number of servings it says it will make. Six? Forget it! More like 10 or 12. Half the recipe is more than enough for six very hungry eaters. Next time I"ll cut it in half again for my DH and me.

Ham 'n' Noodle Toss

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
This was absolutely wonderful and so easy. I made only half the recipe because there are only two of us in our home. Even then I had enough for a second meal. The leftovers were equally good. This definitely is a winner!

Creamy Potato Leek Soup II

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2010
This soup is absolutely wonderful! I had a 12 oz. pkg of bacon and that amount was plenty. The only thing I added was a sprinkling of black pepper. I had never cooked with leeks before. Will definitely make this again and again. It's a five-star recipe!!

Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2008
I agree with previous reviewers. This recipe is good in its original form and the addition of the fried onion rings is very good. You other reviewers have created entirely new recipes when you make as many changes as some of you have made. Why not submit your version as a new recipe? Sorry to be critical but people are looking for a review of THIS recipe and not one that you have created from this one. PLEASE!!!

Pork Chops a la Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
I have had this recipe for over 30 years and make it exactly as it is given here. It is not only a family favorite but a good and easy meal to fix for company. Everyone always asks for the recipe.

Asian Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2008
This salad is a dead ringer for the one served at Applebee's. I use canned rice noodles - much easier and less messy. I also add mandarin oranges and fresh strawberries, sliced. Place those around the edge of the salad for a pretty look. Sometimes I add slices of apple too. It's wonderful!!

Absolutely delicious and so easy to prepare. I served this to a group of 14 for 4th of July. Fixed two per person and should have made more. What a winner!

Cream of Asparagus Soup I

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2006
Perhaps I was overly optimistic based on the rave reviews of this recipe.Neither my husband nor I cared that much for it and thought we had prepared better asparagus soup than this. It was overly salty despite using reduced sodium broth and reducing the amount of bouillon. Definitely a disappointment. Will not fix again. Sorry

Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2006
This is marvelous. I topped each serving with a few shreds of Parmesan cheese, along with a sprinkling of the fresh basil. It was a hit!

Aebleskivers have been my family's favorite New Year's breakfast treat for years.I have three pans so can make a lot at a time! I use a long toothpick or skewer to turn them. We eat them with warm, cinnamon applesauce. Yum!!

We liked it well enough but next time I will double the amount of chicken and use only 3/4# of the pasta.

This is wonderful served on bagel chips or with pumpernickel sticks for dipping. I add just a dash of garlic powder for added zip.

This soup sounds wonderful but what is the amount of tomatoes if using canned rather than fresh?

Lemon Ice Box (Cloud) Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2005
This is a very tart, tangy pie and is absolutely delicious. It is very much like the lemon pie sold at PickO'theChick restaurants. Theirs is made with a crust of whole vanilla wafers. That works with this recipe, too. ENJOY!
