Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2009
OMG, this is the best dip ever! I didn't change a thing except that I used chipotle salsa because I couldnt' find tomatillo but it was excellent this way as well. Very easy - fantastic recipe, thank you!!!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
Awesome recipe and so easy but does take a bit of time. I followed other reviewers advice, especially DBDCook and made these the night before (without a bread maker, used the bread hook on my mixer and it worked great). Made lots of frosting and popped them in the cold oven in the morning - they were to die for. Great recipe and great modifications by reviewers - thanks everyone!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
Delish! Very easy, too. Like other reviewers, I threw in some chicken breast uncooked, then shredded it a few hours later and returned it to the soup. Was soo easy and the chicken had a very nice flavor. Great recipe, thanks!

Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
Delicious! Like other reviewers, I reduced the cream a bit but it was very tasty. Beware to some that this may not all fit in your blender at once - I learned that the hard way and my kitchen looked like a crime scene! LOL Anyway, thanks for sharing a great recipe.

Terrific Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
Easy, delicious, and hearty. My husband isn't really a "turkey" guy and he loved it. Served with homemade cornbread and it was fantastic. Thanks for sharing!

Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
These are the best! My 4 year old daughter and I made them for her class and she was able to help make them. They have a nice flavor, too - a good mix between a traditional gingerbread and sugar cookie. Yummy and cute! One thing I would add - I used my Wilton comfy grip cookie cutter and the recipe made 1 1/2 dozen. Thanks for sharing!

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2008
Awesome recipe - easy and so delicious! I halved it for one pie, followed directions exactly except I made the "nutter butter" crust described by an earlier reviewer (12 nutter butters and 2 1/2 tbs melted butter). Thanks for sharing!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2007
Wow! I made this with a pork shoulder roast and it was amazing! My husband and I devoured it - it was so easy and so good. I used two bottles of BBQ sauce, one spicy and one regular and served on kaiser rolls. I also returned the meat/bbq sauce to the slow cooker after pulling (rather than putting in the oven) and it was excellent. Thank you for such an easy and fabulous recipe!

Reviewed: May 15, 2007
Easy and pretty good. Not our favorite, but we are more purist with our steak. Good recipe, though, thanks.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: May 15, 2007
LOVED this recipe, however, I agree with other reviews that as written it is a little bland. I added a good deal of seasoning to my ground beef and quite a bit of garlic as well and altough I loved it, my husband said it was not very flavorful. That being said, I will definitely make it again and play with the spices. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Oven Baked Jambalaya

Reviewed: May 6, 2007
Wow. As an amataeur cook, I found this recipe easy and wonderful. My husband absolutely loved it! I scaled the recipe way back but otherwise followed the recipe, sort of guessing on cooking time. Rice cooked nicely in the dish. Thanks for sharing!!

Excellent recipe. Very easy and tasty. I also sprinkled Old Bay on the fish before cooking, and halved the lemon juice. Delicious, thank you!

Chinese Cabbage Salad I

Reviewed: May 1, 2007
Wonderful salad. I brought this to a "girls night" with a Chinese cuisine theme and it was all eaten with compliments. Very easy and tasty. Make sure you add the dressing right before serving so it doesn't get soggy (as others have said). Thanks for sharing!

Best Hamburger Ever

Very good flavor, but we prefer this taste in a meatloaf rather than a burger. It is very hearty and flavorful, but just not our favorite. Thanks for the recipe, though!

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Awesome grilled shrimp! This was our first attempt at grilling shrimp, and it was wonderful. Easy marinade - we used frozen shrimp which may not have been as good as fresh, but the recipe was excellent. Thanks for sharing!

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2007
Very easy and very delicious. I followed other rater's advice and used some spices in my meat while browning, and only used one cup of water (we like a thicker soup) and one can of tomatoes (all I had) and it was excellent. My husband loved it, too. Served with shredded cheese, sour cream, and tortilla chips crunched up on top. Thanks for sharing!

Kung Pao Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2007
Oh. My. Gosh. Awesome recipe, soooo good and very easy. Husband loved it and it will definitely be a regular in the house. I agree with other reviewers, it's best to double the sauce (watch the chile paste, though, it can be spicy!). I served over steamed rice and veggies - excellent. Thanks for sharing!
