Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
Best...Jalapenos...Ever. I fry mine on the stove, and the bacon tightens up nicely & holds everything together.

Quick Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2007
This had a nice flavor, but the batter was too thick for it to rise; I think next time I'll add some milk and see if that doesn't help.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew II

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2007
Simple and tasty. I added a packet of onion soup mix and a bay leaf, cooked iy for five hours alternating the high and low setting so it wouldn't burn. Delicious.

Italian Teething Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2007
These are great! However, instead of messing with the very sticky dough, I just used a ziplock/pastry bag to make the cookies individually, then let them harden over night. Really tasty, and perfect for coffee!

Asparagus and Goat Cheese Quesadillas

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2007
Pretty good, and very easy. I used a quesadilla maker and cooked them for 7-8 minutes each. Tasty!

Garlic Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2007
This was really good but I felt like it was missing something...Still don't know what. Calamata olives on the side, maybe? I used 1/3c oil and that was enough; more and it would have been too runny. Anyway, AWESOME.

Spinach and Feta Pita Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2007
Outstanding! Easy to make, and so delicious. The tomato pesto was a little strong for me, I believe next time I'll use basil. For cutesy kid appeal, I used grape tomatoes and sliced them into little rounds and sprinkled them on top. Wildly popular.

Tomato Basil Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2007
This was fantastic! Next time I will make a few changes, though. I will use green pepper in stead of tomato, saute the garlic with the basil beforehand spices and leave the onion out. I also added Calamata olives and crushed red pepper, next time I think I'll add about a teaspoon. Great recipe!

Tortilla Chip Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2007
This had a great flavor but was way too runny for my taste. I think next time I will cube the chicken add about a pound of egg noodles to sop up all that milk. Otherwise, excellent!

Great recipe! Simple, fresh, and a no-brainer for a basil lover! I added some crushed red peppers to the oil for a little zing.

Ann's Sister's Meatloaf Recipe

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2007
My family enjoyed this alot! If you want the bacon on top to be crispy, as bacon should be, pan fry it a bit before putting it over the meatloaf. Also, I rolled about 1/4 c of chive cream cheese inside the meatloaf. It came out fabulously.

Slow Cooker Creamy Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2006
This is a great, thick, comforting soup. My kids loved it. Next time I'll dice the potatoes a little smaller, though; I had to mash them when the soup was done cooking!

Stroganoff Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2006
Top notch kid/comfort food. Husband wasn't too thrilled with it, but the kids and I thought it was great. I upped the steak sauce to 1/4 cup, and deglazed the pan I fried the steak in with about a Tablespoon of red wine. Delicious. Not really a soup, though.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2006
A great, simple recipe. I followed Diana's instructions and put some big veggies in the bottom instead of tinfoil, also used the Lawry's Seasoning and an onion in the middle. There was so much liquid it was almost like a stew, and the chicken kind of fell apart when I tried to take it out of the pot...Maybe I'll cook it a little less next time. I gave it three stars since I made so many changes to the recipe.

Sweet Ham Recipe

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2006
I made this with a fresh, 5 lb ham...Wonderful! There were a few problems, though. There was way too much liquid at the end, and the rind cooked completely off. Also, it was so tender it was falling off the bone, which makes it hard to slice. I think next time I make this I will reduce the orange juice by half, and possibly knock an hour or so off the cooking time. Other than that, this recipe was WONDERFUL!

Peking Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2006
I used six thick boneless pork chops, left the fat on, and doubled the sauce. Tender, moist, and PERFECT. The extra sauce goes great over stir-fried rice'n veggies.
