About this Cook
I enjoy cooking delicious meals for myself and my husband. I'd rather cook my own food than go out to eat because then I can control what's in my food. I like using recipes as basic guides, but I usually adapt the recipe to fit my taste and what I have on hand.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook chicken fettucine alfredo, soups, and philly cheesesteak sandwiches.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have been cooking with my parents and grandmother since I was very little. I have a great time make Swedish Hardtack with my grandmother and sister around the holidays.
My cooking triumphs
I made lasagna for my family around the holidays. I made enough to feed about 50 people!
My cooking tragedies
I burn easy things like grilled cheese and pancakes:(

Herman Pancakes
These pancakes were delicious! I added a teaspoon of vanilla for a little extra flavor. My first couple burned because the heat was way too high. I turned it down to med. and the rest were allright.

Steak Tips with Mushroom Sauce
I though this recipe was very good! I halved the amount of wine and broth needed for the sauce and I still ended up with enough for leftovers. Instead of using a shallot, I used a vidalia onion because that's what I had on hand and I like the taste.
