Taco Salad II

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2007
I have been making this recipe for years. It is always a crowd favorite, and I usually never walk away with any leftovers. I always use crushed doritos though, and pending on the size of the crowd, I will usually double recipe. I also use Catalina dressing instead of French, use sharp cheddar cheese, don't use peppers, and I also put in sliced black olives. Always remember, if you are bringingthis to a function, don't put the dressing on until right before you serve, or it will be a soggy mess.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
So heavenly! After shaping into balls, I put in the freezer for 30 minutes. Then I dipped them into melted milk chocolate instead of Semi Sweet (personal preference) These are so easy to make, and just plain wonderful.

Chicken Tortilla Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2007
Very impressive! The whole family loved it, even my 8 year old daughter who "thinks" she doesn't like mexican food (we are slowly changing her mind). What I did differant is only put in one can of green chili's (That was all I had) and only 2/3 cup of the chicken broth to make it slightly thicker as others had said. My oldest son said it tasted just like his favorite Chicken enchilada that he gets at that big fast food chain. He couldn't get enough. Will definately make again....Thanks

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
I have to admit, I think meatloaf is rather boring. But my husband likes it so I decided to look for a new recipe. i found this, and boy am I ever glad, it is sooooo incredibly tasty. The kids gobbled it, and I didn't even mix it with my mashed potatos, or drown it in gravy. Very good flavor, juicy...just plain yummy. I did however do as others had done, and used only the flakes in the soup mix, so as not to overpower it. It turned out perfect. Guess I'm gonna make meatloaf more often now.

Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2007
WOW!!! Hubby was soooooooooooo impressed, he said it tasted just like his mom makes, in fact he thought his mom did make it and sent it over, he couldn't believe that she didn't!!! Definately a keeper, will be making over and over and over, but next time without the gravy, the gravy was the only thing that no one really cared for.

Best Ever Cinnamon Pull Aparts

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
Easy to make, and very tasty, the whole family loved. I only had 2 containers of biscuits, but they were 12oz each, so I still cooked for 45 minutes, I had to run out of the house real quick, and left hubby in charge, wrong move, the tops were slightly burned. So if you only have 2 packs, cut the cooking time. Also, I didn't have an8" pan, but used a 9" round one instead. if I have all 3 containers next time, I would probably use a bigger pan, say 8x13, becasue since the biscuits rise, the 9" was almost overflowed. But ovverall, an excellant recipe, I will have to make sure I keep ingrediants on hand to make often

Pierogi Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2007
AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME, this recipe is simply awesome. I only had the Barilla noodles that you don't have to boil, and I will never use those again for this recipe. I will definately keep the noodles you have to boil first on hand. I only put the bacon and onion layer on half teh casserole becasue I wasn't sure how the kids would like that part, and guess which side was gobbled down first? yeap the bacon and onion side. Hubby really isn't too big on leftovers, but the first thing he said was for me to make sure I save him the leftovers, and he wouldn't share them with anyone, so I would definately say this recipe is a keeper!

Justin's Hoosier Daddy Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2007
Very good! I did as others did, and cut the broth in half, added a half can of beer, and I didn't have any Pinto beans, but I had Kidney beans, so I used that. I also didn't have any chili powder and it still turned out great. I browned meat and onions, then threw everything in the slow cooker on low for 3 hours. Hubby even asked me to save the leftovers which is "the" sign that he loved it!! Thanks

Snackasnicker Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
Oh, So very yummy! After readuing others comments, I decided to only use 2 snickers bars, I used one for the bottom of the pie crust, and one mixed in the cream cheese mixture. I ended up baking for 30 minutes, and probably could have baked for about 5 more minutes. With just the 2 snickers bars, I think it tuned out perfect. Will definitely make again, and again, and again. Next time I will probably top with caramel and chocolate syrup.

Cheesecake Brownies

My 7 year old daughter has been asking for the brownies with the "white stuff" swirled in. This recipe was perfect, and was so easy, she made most of it. Tasted wonderful. This one is definately a keeper.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
YUMMY! I put the flour, salt, pepper and oregano in a bag, and then put the chicken in to coat. I cut the amount of butter and oil in half. After chicken was browned, I took out and put in casserole dish, put the mushrooms, wines(doubled the amount of wines), some garlic, chicken broth, and cornstarch (to thicken the sauce a little)simmered in the pan for about 5 minutes, the poured on top of chicken. Covered it then put it in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Served on top of angel hair spagetti....soooooooo good!

Orange Cream Milk Punch

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2005
Very Good! Even my Father-in-law who only drinks Pepsi loved this! I started making this punch an hour before the party to give the ice cream time to melt, and the consistency was perfect just as the party started. I did use a little more Sprite than what the recipe called for.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2005
VERY, VERY good! Whole family loved it! Hubby liked it so much no one was allowed to have seconds because he wanted to take leftovers to work! I did add half a package dry onion soup mix to meat mixture, for sauce I omitted ketchup, and added can cream mushroom soup, 1/4 cup brown gravy mix, and doubled the water. Didn't have any mustard powder, so used a squirt liquid mustard. after browning patties, I put in large casserole poured sauce on top, and baked 30 minutes at 400 degrees

Caramel-Pecan Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
Very easy to make..gotta admit, i am really not a big pumkin pie fan, but everyone else seems to be, so this looked like a pretty good recipe to try. YUMMMYYYY! Definately will make this again....I did have to cook mine about 10 more minutes than the recipe called for though...could be because I made mine in a stone pie plate.
