Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2007
It was good, just not for my family. Out of 5 people, no one had seconds (including my always hungry hubby, and 14 year old son) and 2 of the kids didn't even finish. So, it was easy to make, had good flavor, just not right for my family

Chocolaty Peanutty Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
I used to make something similar to this but lost the recipe. This was the closest thing I could find, and I just made teh adjustments from what I could remember. I used Vanilla wafers instead of graham crackers, and inthe chocolate pudding layer, i added 1 tsp of rum extract. After the chocolate pudding layer, I slice bananas and layer them on the chocolate layer. Cover with Cool Whip, and chopped nuts, and it tasted just like a hot fudge, peanut buster parfait with bananas...yummmmmmmmmmy!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
I have to admit, I think meatloaf is rather boring. But my husband likes it so I decided to look for a new recipe. i found this, and boy am I ever glad, it is sooooo incredibly tasty. The kids gobbled it, and I didn't even mix it with my mashed potatos, or drown it in gravy. Very good flavor, juicy...just plain yummy. I did however do as others had done, and used only the flakes in the soup mix, so as not to overpower it. It turned out perfect. Guess I'm gonna make meatloaf more often now.

Anna's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2007
These were good, I've had better, I've had worse. I didn't have any chocolate chips on hand, so I substituted M& M's. Will I make these again? I don't know, i might check out a couple other recipies. They tasted goo, they just weren't very memorable.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2007
Ok, so I have been dying to try this recipe for a while now, but with my kids schedules, I haven't found 3 hours to do so. Well, Football season was finally over, so i decided to make it for a treat tonight. I timed it so it would be ready after dinner. Well, I timed wrong, and we were in the middle of dinner when it was done. Let me tell you, I have never seen my son eat so fast so he could be the first one to try it. So while we were still eating dinner, he dug into the first one, the boy looked like he was going to melt with deliciousness (if that is even a word) I said, so it looks like you like it, and he just said, oh, this is sooo good. I asked if it was worth the 3 hours and he said ohhhh yeaaaaaa! What I did differant was as some others had done, I cut the butter in with the brown sugar and cinnamin instead of spreading it (the butter) on the dough. I then spread the mixture onto the dough. Also for the icing, I used 5oz instead of 3oz of cream cheese, as I am a cream cheese fanatic, ohhhh was it good! I will definately make sure I have all ingrediants on hand for when I have a spare 3 hours...magnifite!!!

Dos Queso Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2007
Everyone said they loved it, me, I thought it was just ok. I have other recipes that are similar, but better. Served it at a party with around 15 people, not even half of it was gone. When I make my other dip that is similar, it is gone within an hour. Sorry, won't make again

Chicken Breasts with Lime Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2007
This was so flavorful, and so good, I can't wait to make it again. What I did diffe rant though, was...I am not to big on thebread crumb coating, so I crushed saltine crackers instead, mixed in about 1 Tbsp flour, and 1 Tbsp Potato flakes, through some salt and pepper in, and after dipping chicken in the eggs, I coated it with the cracker mix, and did everything else the exact same. This is one fantabulous recipe!!! Oh, I almost forgot, the limes I had weren't very "juicy" so I used store bought lime juice, and I used about 1/2 cup of it for double the recipe

Peanut Crunch Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
Incredible!! So moist, and delicious. Didn't change a thing, won't change a thing. Hubby had a buddy over, and he had not one, not two, but 3 pieces!! I will make sure I have the ingrediants on hand for this one. Super easy to make, in fact, my 8 year old daughter did most of it!!

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2007
This is the first time I made French Toast for the family, they are not big fans as they usually don't have much flavor, or are too heavy. I thought I would give these a try, they LOVED them, I couldn't make them fast enough for my oldest son (14 year old), and my 12 year old son who barely eats anything, had 2. I was very impressed. I didn't change a thing, but one recommendation would be to keep the whisk nearby, as between bread soaks, you will want to whist the mixture again, just becasue the cinnamin seams to rise to the top. This is definately a keeper!

I've had this recipe marked for over a year, and I finally tried it, boy am I kicking myself for not trying it earlier. It is soooooooo yummy. The one and ONLY thing I would change would be that next time I think I will try it with walnuts.

Sausage Cheese Bites Snack

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2007
These were just ok, kinda tasted like a McDonalds sausage and cheese biscuit, but it really didn't look like it. Only one of the3 kids ate a whole one (he actually ate 5, I said, "boy, yo umust really like them" his reply 'I'm just hungry". I had A LOT left over. I know I won't make this again, it tasted pretty good, but if the kids won't eat them, it's not worth it.

Best Ever Cinnamon Pull Aparts

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
Easy to make, and very tasty, the whole family loved. I only had 2 containers of biscuits, but they were 12oz each, so I still cooked for 45 minutes, I had to run out of the house real quick, and left hubby in charge, wrong move, the tops were slightly burned. So if you only have 2 packs, cut the cooking time. Also, I didn't have an8" pan, but used a 9" round one instead. if I have all 3 containers next time, I would probably use a bigger pan, say 8x13, becasue since the biscuits rise, the 9" was almost overflowed. But ovverall, an excellant recipe, I will have to make sure I keep ingrediants on hand to make often

Uglies

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2007
Sorry, for our family this was barely edible. I think myself and hubby were the only ones who finished it. NONE of the kids did. I did exactly as recipe said. Don't think I will make this again. Oh, and the BBQ sauce I used was Sweet baby Rays, which is my one sons favorite, adn he still didn't even eat half of it.

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2007
Very Yummy!!! I did a few things differant...first, i didn't have any potato flakes, so I just added a few more crackers. Also added some garlic salt, paprika, and parsley (a few dashes of each). I covered the ckicken in flower, then egg (needed 2 eggs), then the cracker mixture. I really didn't want the heaviness of frying in oil, so I put them in a 13x9 pan, and baked at 375 degrees for 45 minutes, then melted a stick of butter, and spooned melted butter onto each piece, then baked for an addition 5 minutes. Awesome, Hubby even called leftovers for the next day!! This is definately a keeper.

Strawberry Bruschetta

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2007
As is, this recipe is just ok, but I did what Beth B. suggested, and mixed up some cream cheese, cinnamin, and sugar, and put that on half of them. I also tried with strawberries and raspberries. The results? The ones with the cream cheese mixture were the best, and strawberries were much better than raspberries. With the cream chees mixture, this recipe is a 5+ star, but with just the butter, it is only a 4 star.

Fantabulous!! Made this for a breakfast themed dinner at my mom's house, hubby wasn't going to be at the dinner, but he snagged one hot out of the oven. He loved these sooooo much, he actually bribed my daughter to make sure that she brought home leftovers!!! This was fast and easy to make, no changes, loved it!!! Thank you
