Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
I made these the other night, and they are awesome! I have never baked matballs before, that's basically why I choose it. I omitted the red pepper flakes, and I added half of a small container of ricotta cheese like someone else suggested, and they were very moist and flavorful! Will definetly make again!

Flavorful Flounder

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2008
Just had this for supper tonight. It was very good! I did "tweek" it a bit, I added to the butter and mayo ect. mixture, about 1 tsp of garlic powder and about 1 tsp of dill weed seasoning along with the onion, and I also added some Panko bread crumbs to give it a little crunch! Served it with parsley potatoes, and broccoli with cheese. Enjoyed by everyone, even my son, who is picky when it comes to fish. Will make again. Thanks!!

Baked Beef Stew

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2008
I made this last Friday when it rained, and it was sooo good! I browned the beef in some flour and salt and pepper with some garlic powder, then put it in the slow cooker and added the veggies. I didn't add the tapioca or bread, to thicken it I added corn starch at the end. Instead of more beef broth to make the juice, I added 2 small cans of tomato juice. It went great with crusty bread for dipping! Will make again!!

American Girl's Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2008
Yummy! My son and I really enjoyed this recipe especially when it was warm out of the oven! I used one large can of peaches and a 15 oz can, and I added nutmeg to the peaches. On the top before baking I sprinkled on a mix of sugar and cinnamon. Fantastic!

Apricot-Glazed Cornish Hens

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2008
Loved, loved this recipe!! I am partial to cornish game hens because, when I was little, my Mom would make this and I would really feel special, that we were eating something so "elegant". This recipe is great! My son especially loved this!! I did not change a thing with the recipe. Will definately make again....to make my family feel special!

Dijon Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2008
I made this Sunday for dinner with the in laws, and it was great. I used Center cut chops and marinated them for approx 6 hours, the only thing I did different was I didn't have apple juice, I used a little OJ, and it turned out great! I did double the sauce for extra juice, but it turned out great, moist and tender. No leftovers!! Will keep for future!

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2008
I had made this this past Sunday for dinner with the in laws, and it was awesome!! Oh so moist and delicious. I used fresh blueberries and before adding them to the batter, I dusted them with flour, as not to sink in the cake. And I used a 9x13 pan. Great recipe for the summer or any time!! It got rave reviews! Thanks!

These scalloped potatoes and onions are FABULOUS!!!!! I made them last night for supper, and it was so easy, the only thing I did different was added shredded cheddar cheese (mild) and placed pork chops on top after browning the chops. What a fantastic dish! My husband and son loved them and requested them often! Will keep this recipe handy!! Thanks!

Crispy Fried Chicken

We made this for Memorial Day and what a treat!! This recipe is faboulous!! I did a few things different, I used Self Rising flour and I used 2 packs of Good Seasons Italian Salad dressing mix, and after soaking the chicken in buttermilk, and tossing in flour mixture, we fried it in our turkey fryer for 15-18 minutes and it was perfect. Will definitely make this again....Good Bye Colonel!!!!

Blooming Onion and Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: May 10, 2008
We were so hungry for onion rings, and I came upon this recipe...what a great find!! This is great, it tastes better than the steak houses in our area! First of all, I didn't have Cumin, so no big deal, and secondly, after slicing the onions, I put them in an ice water bath for about half an hour before dipping in the batter and frying. And they turned out great, crispy, and not soggy! This is a keeper! Thanks!

Hamburger Cheese Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
I made this one day after work last week, and it was so quick and easy. I used mini lasagna noodles for the casserole, and followed the recipe exactly, it came out so cheesey and great! It tasted like lasgna but without the work! I like the cream cheese and cottage cheese combo better than ricotta cheese. Leftovers were great also. It's a keeper!!

Cola Pot Roast II

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
This is sooo good!! My family and I rated it the best pot roast we have tasted! I love the flavor, the cola does add a different twist to it, we didn't think that it "sweetened" it. Will definately make this again!!

Ham and Cheese Bowties

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
This is sooo good! Had left over ham piece and decided to make this. It was a hit! I used the colby cheese, but next time I think I will try it with the swiss cheese, like others suggested. I also added a cup of frozen peas to the pasta while cooking, and it turned out great. Both hubby and son loved it!

Grandma's Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
These are the best apple dumplings that I have ever made. And so simple, I never thought of crescent rolls. They were divine! Made these as an extra Thanksgiving dessert since my family ususally eats 1 piece of pumpkin pie. This was a big hit, especially with French Vanilla ice cream!!
