Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2011
This sauce was easy to throw together and had a great consistency! I added plenty (!) of black pepper and didn't add put parsley into the sauce - I just sprinkled it on top of the finished pasta dish. Next time though, I will probably only add about 1 cup of cheese as it was a bit too cheesy...and that's rare for me to say, being a huge cheese fanatic lol. :)

Yum - loved this pesto! Made mine with walnuts and fresh lime juice...can't wait to make it again.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
These pancakes were very good - easy to whip up with readily available ingredients and tasty as is. Wish they had more of a 'crust' or slightly crispier edges but will try a cook longer to see if that helps...though that's just a personal preference and, really, doesn't matter that much. Anyways, great recipe!

Seasoned Couscous

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2011
As is, 3 stars. With my additions, 4 stars. Great recipe to build off of...definitely use chicken broth instead of water; saute up some onions instead of dry; add some cayenne :)

Hot Breakfast Couscous

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2011
Great template for a quick breakfast! Definitely add more milk, though, or it will be too dry. Maple syrup was a good sub for the honey and I also added some ground flax. Yum...I want to try this with quinoa too :)

Blueberry Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2011
Tasty and quick-to-make muffins! I took the advice of other posters and used unsweetened applesauce in place of oil. I also used half white and half whole wheat flours and regular old-fashioned oats to make a healthier muffin. These will be great to throw in the freezer and defrost as needed for a quick breakfast. Thank you for the original recipe :)

Sour Cream Waffles

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
Great flavor! I took other reviewers opinions and used vanilla yogurt [actually Honey Vanilla Greek yogurt] and added vanilla - yum! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I wish the outside stayed crispier longer....they softened up fairly quickly.

Grilled Country Ribs

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
The sauce is delicious! It is slightly sweet with a nice spicy quality to it - I will definitely be using this BBQ sauce for many things! The ribs were very good - seasoned with some salt and pepper. My cooking time was significantly shorter but maybe the cut of my ribs was different? Who knows.... What I do know is, I just had a great dinner! :)

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
I loved this! So quick and easy to throw together but it didn't taste like it. Per other reviewers, I used less chipotle powder (about 1 1/2 TB) and let it chill out in the fridge longer. Can't wait to make again!

These were ok as is but needed some tweaking to satisfy my personal taste.

Chewy Granola Bars

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
I like the fact that they isn't a lot of added sugar in these, unlike other recipes I've tried. I might experiment with using a substitute for some of the butter next time. This is a great bar to vary the add-ins depending on your tastes!

BLT Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
This was a big hit at the Super Bowl party! I used thick cut bacon, which I'd recommend...it stands up to the tomatoes well. A surprise hit with only 4 ingredients!

Cilantro-Lime Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
Loved this! Great fresh flavor and it came together almost effortlessly. I paired it with the Beer Lime Chicken off this site and (storebought) habanero lime wraps and YUM! Good on its own too =)

Beer Lime Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
Came out good but I was expecting more flavor. I plan on using the chicken with some habanero lime flavored wraps and other wrap fixin's and I think they will pair well together.

Meat Lover's Pizza Bake

This was a fast and yummy dish - great for a weekday. I liked how versatile it is and am looking forward to future combos. Next time I will add a bit more sauce and am thinking of some Italian seasoning in with the topping.

Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
These were good cookies! Mine came out nice and soft while retaining a good chew around the edges. While they were a bit sweet, I used darker chocolate that I cut into bigger chunks and that offset the sweetness well. I will use this recipe again.

Tacos in Pasta Shells

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
Loved this! Pasta AND the flavor and fixins of tacos in one recipe?...SOLD! I used salsa instead of the taco sauce and, as suggested, a taco seasoning instead of the spices but mostly kept the recipe the same. I topped with lettuce, chopped tomato, olives, and sour cream - perfecto! Thanks for posting. =)

Avocado Ranch Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2008
Delicious! I omitted the dill since I was out but otherwise, made as directed. The flavor was reminiscent of cucumber. Will try adding a garlic clove next time since you can never have too much garlic!
