Caramel Brownies

I found this easy to make, but next time would try caramel topping instead of the individual caramels. It came out delicious, but very gooey!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

We enjoyed this stew. I started with the original recipe, but then followed some of the suggestions in the reviews. I doubled the wine, and added a bay leaf, garlic and some worcestershire sauce. The gravy did not need thickening, was thick enough for us. Prep time, however, much longer than 15 minutes! Would still make it again -- we loved the leftovers!

Maria's Pepper Steak

We loved this! Followed the recipe exactly as stated, using 1 red and 1 green pepper. I didn't thicken the liquid, and we didn't mind, even though it was thin. I will definitely make this again! Added note: I have made this twice since the original review, using chicken tenders instead of the beef. I have also increased the liquid and vegetables. Just be cautious of the cooking time of the chicken tenders; they don't seem to take as long as the beef. We really like it this way, also!

Sesame Broccoli

Scalloped Corn

I made this as a second vegetable dish for a family holiday meal. It was delicious; not a morsel left! Lots of compliments and requests for the recipe. I will definitely make this again!

Sweet Mustard Chicken Bake

We really liked this chicken dinner! I wanted to make six chicken breasts, so following the recommendations of others, I adjusted the recipe as follows: 1/4 cup butter; 1 cup honey; 1/2 cup mustard and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. It did make a lot of the sauce, but that was fine. (It worked out well for the six chicken breasts, and we like a lot of sauce!) Served it with rice and green beans. The sauce also tasted good on the rice. I baked it at 375 for 45 minutes; worked out well for the six chicken breasts. I only basted once, and probably didn't even need to do that. I will definitedly make this again.

Stuffed Green Peppers II

I followed the original recipe, but made the following changes: I added two cloves of garlic, and some chopped red and green peppers to the ground beef/onion mixture. Instead of the spaghetti sauce, I used the two cans of tomato soup/water misture as found in the Stuffed Green Peppers I recipe. I covered it and baked at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. The peppers were still pretty crisp; this was fine for us, but if you like your peppers softer, you would have to bake longer. Next time, I will bake for at least 1 hour, or precook the peppers. The prep/cooking time for me was much longer than indicated. We really enjoyed this, though -- and will definitely make this again.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

These were very good. I added an extra garlic clove; I thought it was just right, but my husband thought that was too much. I used my hand potato masher; I like that consistency better.

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

I have made this several times. We really like it. I have made it in the slow cooker, but also on the stove, for a quicker meal. I also make it with chicken, which we like as much as the ground beef.

Fruit Salad

I followed the recipe, and added 2 cans of mixed fruit and 1 can mandarin oranges. I poured all of the canned fruit into a collander, to make sure it was very well drained. This seemed to help, as the leftovers were not runny the next day. I also added some extra mini marshmallows. I did mix the condensed milk/whipped topping mixture first, as advised, and added to the fruit/marshmallow mixture until I liked the consistency. I took it to a family party, and everyone enjoyed it. I will definitely make again.

Peppermint Chocolate Fudge

Garden Pasta Salad

I added a red pepper (for the color) and was very flexible with the amount of vegetables -- added the amount I wanted, until I liked the consistnecy and mix. Following the recommendation of others, I only used 1 bottle of salad dressing -- 2 would have been way too much. I took this to a party, and got many compliments. Will make again.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

I have made this twice. The first time I shredded the chicken and served as sandwiches. The next time I served whole with rice and vegetables. My family liked it both ways. I did not use frozen chicken -- I used defrosted, and cooked for 3 hours on high. It was fall apart after just the three hours. The recipe did not make enough sauce for us, so the second time I increased the sauce. The taste and ease of this recipe are why I am giving it 5 stars.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

This did not turn out as good as I had hoped it would. I could not get it to thicken, no matter how long I let it sit. I finally had to add a flour/water mixture to get it to thicken, and then it got too thick, and I had to thin it! I also thought it was too bland, and had to add extra garlic powder, salt and pepper. I also feel 1/2 cup of butter is too much. Not sure if I will make this again. If I do, I will cut down on the butter, and add some extras to the recipe as suggested by other reviewers.

Slow Cooker Ham

As others stated, I was unsure of this recipe. I had a 7 1/2 lb bone in , fully cooked ham, and it was done in 4 1/2 hours, when cooked on low. As suggested by another reviewer, I thickened the liquid with corn starch. This was really good as a sauce over the ham. I served this to two picky eaters and they loved it! I will definitely make this again.

The Best Banana Bread

I gave this 5 stars because of its ease and good taste. I followed the recipe exactly as written. I had no problem with baking time as others have stated. It was beautifully done in exactly 1 hour. Will defintely make again -- next I will try making it with pumpkin.
