Colonial Hot Buttered Rum

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
This was awesome. So warm and soothing! Next time I would use a little less sugar, but that's just a personal preference.

The perfect chicken soup. The ingredients are pretty classic for a chicken soup and if you put in quality you will most certainly be rewarded with a fantastic meal. I could eat this everyday.

It's not bad. Simple, fresh, but lacking a little on flavor. I still prefer fruit with my cottage cheese

Molasses Cookies

DELICIOUS. I almost doubled the spices and used only real unsalted butter. Also halved the Baking Soda. (I never eat margarine). Met and maybe even surpassed my hopes. THANKS!

Blueberry Buckle

Delicious!!! Fluffy and tasty, and I love the crumbly topping. Would have given it 5 stars if it were just a tad more "gooey" and less fluffy but delicious nonetheless!!

Feta Cheese Foldovers

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
Thank you for this awesome recipe! My Boyfriend's family was over for breakfast and I made some of these (altered to my preferences of course) and they were a huge hit! Instead of feta I used goat cheese, spinach, sun dried tomatoes and mushrooms. Delicious!

Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
Honestly...I did not care for this recipe. I'm sorry but shortening just DOES NOT belong in frosting. I feel like it ruined my cake that I spent a whole week preparing, and I am so dissapointed. I learned a valuble lesson though. NEVER put shortening in frosting. I gave it a star because it does do well for decorating...

Cream of Celery Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2009
Ok, I changed this recipe quite a bit but.. I have to give it credit for giving me an amazing base to work with. My boyfriend said it was possibly in the top 20 best foods he's ever eaten, which is saying alot because he's a big foodie. I used chicken boullion cubes instead of broth (omitting the salt called for in the recipe). I also omitted the butter, as it was not needed. I pureed the veggies after soft boiling them in the broth, and then added them back. I also added some sage and a couple shakes of habenero powder. It was amazing. However, next time I will also try making the roux that some of the other reviewers made. Thank you for the wonderful recipe!

Superior Shores Slaw

Reviewed: May 6, 2009
This is the best cole slaw I've ever eaten!! I did change it just a tad though... I used vegan grapeseed oil (veganaise) instead of mayonaise, and I cut the amount of sweetening in half, replacing the sugar with local honey. I then blended all in a food processor. INCREDIBLE!! I gave 4 stars because of the changes.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
I made it as is in the recipe and I tasted incredible. Now, it needs to be kept cool because of the raw dairy, and its not the best for piping and holding its shape, but its delicious enough for me not to care. :)
