Shepherd's Pie VI
Great basic recipe that lends itself well to personal adaptation. I used all the listed ingredients and added some things to suit my family's taste: I sauted one large onion and a large clove of garlic with the ground beef, and I cooked the mushrooms with it in the pan. I also seasoned with a No-Salt seasoning blend, some garlic pepper, and a couple dashes of Emeril's Original Essence. I also reduced the number of carrots and added some frozen mixed veggies in the veggie layer. I did NOT mash the carrots and left them sliced so my toddler could eat them more easily. Following previous suggestions, I added 1/4 c. Worcestershire, and I increased the broth to 1 cup. b/c mine got a little dry from simmering it longer than the instructions. When mashing the potatoes, I added milk, butter, salt, and pepper. I used a 3qt. casserole dish, which made a thinner pie, but I think I added too much, so it wouldn't fit as well in my 2qt dish. Hehe! I waited for the potatoes to start to get golden before topping with cheese. My hubby LOVED it, and we will definitely be making it again! Thanks for the recipe!

Hearty Hamburger Soup
Delicious! Reminded me of my mom's beef and veggie soup. I did not add barley because I didn't have any, but other than that I followed the recipe, and it was yummy. My hubby liked it too. Great for cold winter days. You could really add an veggies that you like to it I believe. We had corn muffins with it. I think next time I'll try it with stew beef. Thanks for sharing it!

Pizza Dough I
I make the flour part wheat and part white, and I let it rise for a bit so it will be thicker crust. Easy and yummy.
