Grandma Slattery's Michigan Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2007
The best hot dog sauce recipe I have come across. Exactly what I was looking for. I get rave reveiws every time I make this and it makes enough so that I can freeze as individual portions and get 4 or 5 "meals" out of it.

Linguine Pasta with Shrimp and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
This was great. I did use 2 cans of diced tomatoes and red wine instead of white. Great flavor and by cooking the shrimp seperately then adding it, those that don't like shrimp just eat around it and they don't have to worry about a strong shrimp taste. I loved this and I loved the shrimp!! This is a keeper...

Sweet-and-Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
This was great. Just like my grandma used to make and I couldn't find her recipe anywheres. I did double the amount of sauce since it goes so great with the rice. Next time I wouldn't make quite so much sauce. I also added some chopped green onions to the meatball mix and I used my electric frying pan to make this. Really great recipe!!

Sweet Green Bean Bundles

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
My family loved this so much that they now beg me to make this for all the holidays. The only change I made was to partially cook the bacon before hand. I just throw it in the oven for 15 minutes before assembling. So good and looks really impressive!!

Oh how we love this recipe. I always have to triple the recipe for the cinnamon/sugar topping. One of the best cookie recipes ever.

Texas Ranch Potato Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
This is my most requested recipe EVER. I make it exactly as it and I've done the 1/2 sour cream and 1/2 mayo and it's always great. I usually bring the bacon along in a baggy and add it at the last minute. FANTASTIC!!! I've also not included the green onions but they really make it better. So easy, so good. I can't recommend this enough, of course my mind set is that bacon makes everything better!!

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2005
This is fantastic. The whole family loved it. The chicken was really tender. Enjoyed it so much that I made copies of the recipe and handed them out at work the next day. Added a little extra balsamic vinegar and used a whole pound of mushrooms.

Flank Steak Pinwheels

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
This is great with a couple really simple changes. I butterfly the meat and after marinating it cover it with a thin layer of cream cheese. I also use fresh spinach and add chopped mushrooms which I sauted along withe the onions and garlic and spread that atop the cream cheese. This is so delicious and looks so impressive. Perfect when company is coming.

Lemonade Punch

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2008
I can't rave enough about this. It goes fast so have back up available. I only use one can of the lemonade and have even left out the fruit slices and I get rave reviews on this. It is so refreshing and easy to make. Really makes a bottle of wine last!!

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2008
My family really enjoyed this, especially my husband who isn't usually into casseroles. I did take the advice of others and skip the first step. I also used chicken tenders and fresh spinach. Next time I would double the spinach and use a low sodium mushroom soup. The cream sauce was very good and this goes great with a salad and some crusty bread to sop up the sauce. Thanks for a great recipe!!

BLT Bacon Bowls

I made these last year for Thanksgiving. They look really great. I just threw together a regular old salad and tossed with dressing and then placed into bacon bowls at dinnertime. My guest were really impressed.

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
This was really good. Took advice of others and added sauteed onion and garlic, along with a couple generous splashes of Worcheshire sauce. I shaped into 2 loaves and cooked them in a roasting pan at 400 degrees for 1 hour. Didn't use the topping but only because I was short on time, normally do a ketchup/brown sugar and mustard combo and really like it. Huge hit with the family, said it was the best meatloaf I'd ever made which is really saying something since I make a pretty mean beef meatloaf. Loved the cheese aspect and I really recommend you do it in chunks as recommended.

Seven Layer Tex Mex Dip

Love this recipe! I skip the olives, personal preference and if I know I'm feeding a crowd and it will all go without leftovers I add some chopped lettuce. Yum!
