About this Cook
I'm married, have four children ranging in age from 13-30, have four grandchildren . We live on a farm and we raise and preserve a lot of our own vegetables, we raise hogs too. We always have a freezer full of fresh pork and beef! Good fresh farm food!
My favorite things to cook
I love this website! My favorite things to cook are trying things from all of you! When my family asks me what's for dinner, I say it's a surprise, and more often than not we all LOVE the newest recipe!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We are of Scandinavian descent so there are those things we have like lefse and swedish meatballs. I'm going to start this year learning how to make the lefse (it's a flat potato "bread" that looks like a flour tortilla. My kids like butter and sugar on it, but you can also use it for cheese or meat spreads, etc.

Chicken Milano
Very tasty! I did what one reviewer did and used half and half...just want to warn others NOT to use fat free half and half! Next time I will use the regular half and half...trying to cut down fat but the fat free wouldn't really allow it to thicken very much. The taste of the sauce is amazing though! Will make again!

Broccoli Chicken Roli
I did this exactly as called for, you DO need three cans of crescent rolls. Everyone LOVED this so I made it for two different occasions and got raves all around! Delicious!

Reuben Casserole
If you like Reubens, you will LOVE this! We will be making this as one of our regulars, even the kids liked it. I'm going to bring a pan of it to a function at work, so I'm going to double the recipe and relayer it twice. Thanks!
