Chocolate Eclair Dessert

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2005
I made one modification. I froze this dessert instead and it was a hit. So much easier to cut, too.

Whole Wheat Honey Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
I used 1 1/8 c. soy milk instead of the milk powder and water. Light olive oil is the shortening I chose which worked fine. My whole family loves waking up to fresh bread for breakfast and this is a good one.

Millet Muffins

Very good for a whole grain muffin but a little dry.

Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
This soup is bursting with flavor. I make a non-dairy version with earth balance in place of the butter, soy milk and no sour cream. I also use whole wheat flour.

Millet-Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
This recipe has potential but I find millet to be kind of dry so if I make it again I will use quinoa instead.

Whole Wheat Sweet Potato Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
These are really tasty and have a nice texture. I left off the topping and used only 1/2 c. sweetener. If you bake the sweet potato until it's really sweet and mushy no need for all that honey.

Turkey and Quinoa Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
This is the best meatloaf ever! Bursting with flavor and light as a feather (hard to do with ground turkey). We also eat lots of quinoa so this is perfect. I use soy instead of Worcestershire sauce.

Irresistible Whole Wheat Challah

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
This challah is the best whole wheat challah I've ever made. However, the method is not fool proof because you don't proof the yeast first. So, I had a batch that didn't rise. Annoying.

Pumpkin Wheat Honey Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2012
Very easy and delicious recipe. I decreased the sugar and honey to 1/4 c. each and it was plenty sweet. I added 1 tsp. vanilla and used ground walnuts instead for those (little kids) who don't like chunks in their muffins but need the nutrition.

Easy Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2012
My great grandmother used to make these with a hershey kiss in the middle. I used this recipe because it's whole wheat but I cut the honey and brown sugar (I used sucanat) down to 1/4 c. each and the cookies were sumptuous. We don't like our cookies so sweet so these hit the spot.
