BBQ Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
I have used this recipe at least 10 times now! WONDERFUL meatballs! I actually use frozen meatballs, but I prepare the sauce as written (except I have usually left out the vodka) and then throw everything in a crock pot. It is sooooo good! I use Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce - our personal fave - amazing! I've also had good luck with KC's. YUM! I can only imagine how much better this is with the homemade meatballs! Someday I will try! I've also thrown Little Smokies/Mini Hot Dogs in the sauce. Sometimes I will just let the sauce cook first in the crock pot, and add the meatballs after awhile. They usually heat up pretty well, and this keeps 'em from getting soggy. THANKS for the recipe!

Easy Orange Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
Good rolls! And very easy! Used frozen dinner rolls to make things easier. Prepared it at night, and kept it in the fridge ready to go in the morning. Worked out fine! Also added some baking spice and a tiny bit of almond extract. Delicious!

Ooey Gooey Breakfast Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
Super delicious! I was a little worried at first, because my dough did not really rise overnight in the fridge. I used little frozen dinner rolls, so I am assuming the type/brand I bought had something to do with it... Well, they finished rising in the oven! Plumped up perfectly and were nice and ooey gooey! Very easy! Will be making these again and again!

Very good! I love anise myself, so I think I might be a little partial. The other guests seemed to enjoy it.

Amazing Pecan Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
Soooooo yummy! I made it pretty much as written, only a few minor changes. For the sour cream, I did sub half of it with light sour cream, as I needed to use some up. I also added some Penzeys cake spice into the topping mixture. Put half the batter into a well sprayed bundt pan, added topping, and then added the remaining batter. Took about 50 min in the oven, kept it at 350. Let it cool for an hour or two, and flipped it out. Brought to church in the morning, and it was gobbled right up!

Chocolate Chip Cake Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2010
These turned out great! I was a little worried about using a butter yellow mix (another reviewer was not impressed with the flavor), but that's all I had on hand. I added a pinch of salt and some extra chocolate chips, otherwise I made the recipe as written. Delicious! Brought them to a gathering and they disappeared quickly!

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2005
I made this recipe today.....Followed the advice of other reviewers for a few things...Used beef broth instead of the cube. Used a full onion, diced tomatoes instead of stewed, and tri-color peppers. Added more garlic powder and a little seasoning salt. It definitely tends to cook fast, so I had to switch it to low. My husband loved it! I thought it was good too....I am sure we will make this one again.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
Very yummy cookies! I had to half the recipe due to the fact that I only had 1 pkg of pudding mix. I added extra vanilla extract too. Otherwise, I followed as written! VERY DELICIOUS!
