I thought it was just average. I definitely can find much better things to make for a dessert. Sorry!

Spaghetti Pie II

Nothing fancy, but the grandkids loved it. I give it 5 stars because I thought for what it was, it was pretty darn good! I make two at the same time, and put one in the freezer. Then I can just pull it out and heat it up. We don't like bell pepper so eliminated that. Not company type of dinner, but for the family, it's great and since I can make the mess once, freeze one, use one...that's my kind of time saving and clean up type of recipe! And if there are left overs, it's great for lunch or dinner the next nite. It heats up well.

Lemon Lover's Pound Cake

My comments are for the icing alone! I have not tried this cake, but I use this icing on the Lemon Chiffon cake from this web site and it's just a great addition to this cake.

Lemon Chiffon Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
This is a WINNER! I have a lemon tree, so this was just perfect. This is the third time I have made this and it needs way more lemon juice. I would use NO water and all lemon juice!!! I did use just plain unbleached flour, and it was still light, tender and wonderful! For the icing, I used the "lemon Lover's pound cake icing from this site, and just drizzled it over the cake, put some lemon leaves under the cake for decoration and a few slices of lemon and, wow! I did put a small dab of yellow food color to make it look more attractive, but in icing and in the cake. Looked really professional and tasted incredible!

Passover Iced Lemon Loaf

Sounds great, but we don't use leavening like the baking powder. Did you ever try without the baking powder and soda? Just was wondering before I gave it a try! I'm rating, but I really haven't tried it, but I guess this is the only way I can put this in the review!

Easy and a family pleaser. EVERYBODY loved it! Now that's awsome since it is difficult to get a 100% on any recipe.

Sour Cream Chocolate Frosting

This is an OMG recipe!!! Excellent and delicious. I used non fat yogurt...lower in calories. That's almost a joke when making this recipe, but any calories you can save is worth it! This is absolutely delicious! It's my favorite chocolate icing now! No need to alter a thing. Just enjoy it!

Fudge Brownies I

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
I wouldn't say these were OMG brownies. They were o.k.....maybe because I took the advice of others. I am an experienced cook and baker and I don't totally agree with the other reviews. By eliminating 2 of the eggs, I felt they were dry and crumbly, and I even took them out earlier that suggested. I did add aditional cocoa, which I am glad I did, and I now add white raisins because it does make brownies slightly moister. No one knows they are inside, but they just always say that I make the best brownies! And I never tell my secret (something I learned from a caterer! I would use at least 3 eggs and maybe even the fourth if you want them more moist vs crumbly. I did use the sour cream chocolate frosting with plain yogurt vs sour cream from Allrecipes, and it was the icing on the cake! It actually made the brownies O.K.

Chili Rubbed Pork Tenderloin With Apricot Ginger Glaze

I agree with everyone else's rating! A WINNER! So easy. I had the sauce made in advance, cooked it on the barbecue. Timing was perfect. If you are a beginner, it is so simple and very impressive dinner! I served it with cole slaw, asparagus, and mashed potatoes. Company was impressed!

Turkey in a Smoker

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
Wow! This was excellent, so nice and smokey, but incredibly flavorful and moist! Here goes with my only change, though. We like turkey smokey, but not tooooo smokey, so we smoked it for 4 hours and put it in the oven at 300 to finish the cooking process until the thermometer reached 160.

Zesty Tilapia with Mushrooms

Outstanding! EASY and I thought it was a really nice presentation and would use it for company! I served it with 4 spears of Asparagus across the top of the fish and some rice or potato and you've got an amazingly delicious and easy dinner that everyone will love (as long as they eat mushrooms)!

Parmesan Chicken

5 stars because it was easy and in addition it was delious! Thumbs up from 5 of us! Miracle! I did make a creamy spinach sauce to put on top, but it didn't need it unless you were having company. If you are looking for an easy family dinner that even the kids will love, this is it! I am not saying this is a company dinner, though!

Angel Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
REally easy and delicious! I didn't need all the calories and cholesterol, so I used a small container of LITE Cool Whip in place of the whipped cream. It was perfect! In addition, I used two whole eggs and one extra egg white and 3/4 sugar and 1/4 Splenda to make the lemon filling. I probably added a little more lemon because we have an over productive lemon tree and we love anything lemon. I then put the other half of the cool whip on the top decoratively with a spatula, and Voila! A genuine winner! I ended up having to print 2 more recipes to give to our guests!

Mediterranean Stuffed Swordfish

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
From a Non "fish" person, we all loved it. I did what everybody recommended and put the Feta with the veggies. I didn't have spinach in my garden.I used Fresh chard from my garden and then even added some sundried tomatoes to the sauce along with chopped mushrooms, all cooked together. With the leftover, I served it in a dish to put on top of fish. I am in shock that the whole family LOVED it! Thanks for a great recipe!

Baked Halibut Steaks

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
I agree with everyone that this was great. I followed the recommendation of marinading the Halibut in Italian dressing...didn't have any and used Caesar dressing! Excellent. Then I did use the zucchini and followed the recipe, but when I added the tomatoes and fresh basil, I also added some greek olives. My husband said it was "restaurant" quality!

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad

I just don't get all the rave reviews! I consider myself a good, creative cook, but this was boring if you followed the recipe! Everyone had to make changes to make it "good"! I liked the concept and will fiddle with it myself, but as is, I'd say mediocre at best. Sorry!

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Easy, delicious and I understand the high review marks. I did what everybody else suggested and added some iceberg, part of a roasted Costco chicken that I cut into pieces, and didn't use all the dressing. Plus, I added the Feta cheese like other people had suggested. It's a Yummmmmmmmmmm recipe!

Excelllent and easy! My favorite way of cooking! I didn't even add salt as I thought there was enough in the parmesan. There is a little time in preparation and remember, just put the toppping on the top of the fist..
