First time ever roasting a bird as a newlywed: it looked beautiful, but was upside down in the pan! How was I supposed to know the breast-side went up?!!

Raw Food Snacks - Cinnamon Bun Balls
Not sure if my dates were too small, my cinnamon was too potent, or if we just don't like cardamom, but this recipe didn't work for us. It WAS really quick and easy to make, so if the flavours work for you, then this would be worth making.

Fennel Soup
I have to say that this smelled terrible while it was cooking, but I am glad that I did not throw it out before trying it. I did not actually eat it until the following day, so all the flavours had time to meld together overnight. I followed the directions and did not make any changes or additions to the ingredients, although I did scale the recipe down to 2 servings and I pureed it. I thought it was a great pureed soup!

Chef John's Cauliflower Pizza Crust
I wish I had doubled the recipe! I did not have goat cheese, so instead, I used Daiya (mozzarella style) cheese--gluten free, soy free, & dairy free--both in the crust, AND for the cheese topping. I topped my pizza with a regular tomato-based pizza sauce, halved cherry tomatoes, green pepper, sliced fresh mushrooms, and diced red onion. I didn't know if this would go over well with my husband or not considering it was a "replacement recipe" for something he loves (AND I didn't tell him I wasn't using "real" cheese). He loved it. I loved it. I will be making this again, but next time, I will double the recipe so there will be left-overs.
