Mom's Baking Powder Biscuits
Excellent if you're looking for those "bisquick" style biscuits! The "makes 2-3 dozen" is WAY off though. I get 8 normal sized biscuits (using a small juice glass as my cookie cutter, making about a 2.5" biscuit).

Jalapeno Poppers I
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! ONLY thing I did different was add a little chopped jalepeno and garlic to the cheese mixture. Anyone who says this filling is bland is either not using sharp cheddar, or doesn't realize that most poppers have ONLY cream cheese inside. This is definitely NOT bland! The corn flake crust is AMAZING and even though they're baked, they're SUPER crunchy and golden brown! I did blanche the peppers first, as other suggested, and I double-dipped in the egg/cornflakes. Absolutely wonderful for a baked version of poppers! Time consuming for sure... but will make again next year (and might plant extra jalepenos just so there's enough to last awhile!). I put most of the poppers on a tray and froze them (uncooked) - figuring I can pop them in the oven when I want. After just a few minutes the crust sets up nicely and you can even move them around without it coming off. THANKS for a great recipe!

Spicy Stuffed Squid
EXCELLENT! As others have said, this recipe makes the squid VERY tender. Cut with a fork, easy to chew, and flavorful! Recipe withstands tweaking well. Usually I try to follow the recipe as written the first time, but I had to make due with what I had on hand. I used a whole grain/wild rice blend instead of white rice and it came out great (whole rice tends to not mush like white does). Didn't have anchovy paste, used hoisin paste instead (the only "paste" I had) and it still came out wonderful. Used craisins instead of raisins and sliced almonds instead of pinenuts. Would be better with pinenuts (what isnt?), but still gave it a good crunch. Will definitely be making this again.
