Chicken and Corn Chili

This is a good recipe. Husband and guest really liked it. I cooked it on high for 4 hours, shredded chicken after 3 hours and turned out fine.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Nice and easy recipe. I think kids would love this. My husband did. I follow the review advice to cook the biscuit dough longer and add a can of mixed vegetables, and I agree with that.

Thai Shrimp and Cabbage

Thanks for a great idea. I added hoisin sauce because I like it in stir fry. I thought that this recipe would also be good with carrots and mushrooms in the mix.

Baked Macaroni and Cheese

I used whole wheat pasta and it was really good that way. This needs to be covered for 1st part of baking otherwise noodles get crunchy on top.

Good chili, easy to make and filling. It was a bit bland, so I added small amount of jalapeno cheese and taco seasoning mix and dried chili peppers to spice it up. Also.. I only had one can of white beans so I added 1 can of black beans which I think is a good addition.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

This was a very good recipe for me to start from. I made a few changes based on what I had available: ground turkey, 2 cans of diced tomatoes, one with green chilies, instead of the salsa. It turned out really well. Next time I will try it with the salsa. I also added a taco bell packet of hot sauce and a bit of ketchup for sweetness.

Overnight Cinnamon Rolls II

These turned out delicious and are very easy to make. I didn't use a whole cup of sugar, I think the sugar could possibly be cut in half. I drizzled the tops with a frosting made of powdered sugar and milk after they came out of the oven. Also, I bought frozen dinner rolls which were already in an aluminum pan so I just baked them after putting the topping on.

Cranberry Nut Bars

Nice recipe to use up leftover cranberries from Thanksgiving. I like that it has few ingredients. I turned out really well and it reminds me of a strawberry shortcake.

Special Cereal Bars I

I followed recipe exactly and they were very good. They are really hard to cut after refrigeration however. I couldn't cut them before because the frosting was still melty, but maybe next time I will take off the boiling syrup right away like others suggest and let frosting harden at room temperature before cutting.

Easy Salted Peanut Chews (Cookie Mix)

These turned out really well and look nice when cut into squares. I used butterscotch chips because I only had a few peanut butter chips left. I prefer butterscotch chips anyway and the bars taste delicious for those who don't need chocolate in everthing.

Greek Salad I

I was looking for a Greek salad recipe and I thought this salad has a nice mix of ingredients. One thing I noticed was that the tomato and cucumber made the salad a bit too much liquid. Next time I will try it with small cherry tomatoes and leave the cucumber out. Also, I used a store bought balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie

I made this for Easter and everyone liked it the taste combo of the bourbon/chocolate and pecans was a good one. I would prefer however to find a recipe that is more fudge/chocolate like, this recipe is more of a gooey pie.

Quick Black Forest Cake

This cake was delicious, made it for my husband's birthday and he said it was the best cake so far. I did tweak this a bit and did an experiment however. I bought 2 tiny bottles of rum. I added one bottle to the batter, and half of the other to the glaze. So.. mine was more of a Rum/Black Forest cake.. I highly recommend the addition of rum.

Tater Tot Casserole III

To make this lower calorie: I made this with ground turkey. Instead of milk I just mixed half can of water with the soup. I layered meat first, then green beans, then soup on top of that. Then put the tater tots on top and baked at 425 for 45 minutes.

Broccoli Chicken Casserole I

This is total comfort food, great for the winter months! I didn't follow the directions exactly... I put the stuffing and broccoli on the bottom of the pan, put the chicken on top of that and poured the mushroom soup mixed with a can of water over the whole thing. This helped the stuffing turn out moist. My husband and I both enjoyed this a lot. Thanks!

Almond Bark Drop Cookies

I made these for Christmas and they turned out really well and taste great. I only used half the amount of peanuts to try to reduce the calories! I put them in the porch to cool off because no room in the fridge. Also I decorated with the red cinnamon candies.

Hearty Chicken Tortilla Soup

This recipe is very good on a cold winter night. I think the recipe can be played around with if you don't have all the ingredients on hand. I added a can of green chilis and white northern beans to this and it was great. The other note is that I would go with less rice than called for. When I was ready to put it away for leftovers, I noticed the rice had soaked up all of the liquid so it wasn't like soup anymore.

Lazygirl's Ground Turkey Stroganoff

I am giving this 5 stars because I thought this was a great recipe to make when you are in a hurry to make something for dinner and have little time. It was fast and easy and you can add other items to it, such as mushrooms. We had enough for leftovers the next day too and since I was playing tennis 2 days in a row, this was a great recipe to come home too and not worry about what to make. Thanks!
