Always thought alfedo sauce would be difficult, but this recipe was fast and so good. Used a grated clove of garlic instead of he powder because that is what I had.

Turkey Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2012
Simple to make, ratios worked fine for me. Missing vegetables to lighten it, was very heavy. Made again with sauted carrots, onion, and celery (about 3 cups total) and whole milk, and about 1t. Curry powder. Wow! Thanks for great way to use turkey leftovers

So good even if I was so off base and added adobe sauce, very hot, instead of the chipotle!

Chocolate Pudding Cake III

This was great! So easy and did not require a ton of time to time or dishes to clean up! Next time I am going to add a teas. of coffee to the hot water...well actually I might just use hot milk instead. Oh, I did sprinkle a little coconut -which I love.

Cottage Cheese Bread I

Reviewed: May 27, 2011
great way of increasing the fiber in bread, not to mention a wonderful texture for sandwiches. Only thing that I found was that I need to back in oven (350 degrees for 30 minutes) in TWO bread pans. Made the mistake the first time of making this only one loaf -but it makes two good sized loaves.

Colleen's Potato Crescent Rolls

So so so awesome! Made according to recipe and had great results. Was a bit surprised by the cold rise and have no idea if it is necessary vs. regular rise, but I would make these again.

great recipe! Lots of beating, but it does taste great and has a very whip-cream like appearance.

100 Percent Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2011
should have read the reviews first, but the water/flour ratio is off. I am somewhat new at bread and kept thinking that I was not doing something right, but it was the ratios.

Peach French Toast

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
Okay, I hate when others do this, change the recipe then write the review based on the changes, but this ended up being great. I canned some peach/vanilla syrup last year so thinking of adding peach flavoring to french toast, I mixed 3/4 of a pint of peach syrup into the egg/milk mixture. We then had cut up peaches on top. It was a excellent variation of standard french toast.

Cherry Pie IV

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2010
I loved this pie! I did not have quite enough pie cherries for two pie, so I used 2.50lbs of pie cherries and .75lb of bing. I did not increase the sugar, but did add 1 additional TBL of cornstarch. Made enough filling for two pies. (oh, I should admit that I just used bought pie dough).

Fluffy Hot Chocolate

Reviewed: May 6, 2010
Very good and yes, it is fluffy! I did add a pinch of salt to intensify the chocolate and also added a pinch of dried hot peppers. Oh, be warned, as the marshmallows melt they do fluff up and it is easy to have your pot run over -not a pretty clean-up.

Polka Dots

1st batch made as stated and the taste was fine, but the cookies really spread out -way too much IMHO 2nd batch -substituted melted butter for oil and added 3/4 cup of quick oats. MUCH BETTER!
