Easy Mini Quiches

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
While these aren't really quiches, they are quite tasty egg muffins. I made these modifications to fit our tastebuds and use ingredients in my pantry: used cheddar instead of American cheese, used dried parsley instead of fresh, used onion powder instead of fresh onion, and omitted the bacon. Next time I'll try making some with broccoli in them.

Artichoke Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
We found this a little dry and bland. It was nice to try something different, but don't think we'll have it again.

Baked Trout Saratoga

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
I made with Italian dice tomatoes and added dried parsley. I didn't worry about basting with wine or adding extra garlic. I otherwise made it according to recipe (did not cover), and it was delicious. We will definitely have this again.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
Very good recipe, although we made a few changes. I subbed 1 lb soy crumbles + 1 can garbanzo beans for the ground beef, and used diced tomatoes (Rotel) with 2 cups tomato sauce. Next time, I will use way less pepper and just use more kidney beans instead of garbanzo beans, and I will use more tomato sauce. Overall, very yummy and filling. Great fall food.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
Very easy to make. Even reducing the spices, it was still too spicy for us, so next time I'll cut it even more and add more sweet flavoring. Followed directions from others about covering it and cooking at lower heat and the chicken came out super juicy.

Unbelievable Spinach Calzones

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
Very yummy and easy! We used Pillsbury thin crust pizza dough (2 tubes) for the crust and had enough for 4 people to eat two meals.

Raisin Farfel Kugel

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
Wonderful! I couldn't find matzo farfel at our store, so I substituted egg noodles, and the recipe was still delicious. Will definitely use again next year (hopefully with farfel)!

I sauted this instead of full frying. It was very good but definitely needed some spices.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2008
Fabulous recipe! It does taste just like cheesecake. I increased the conf. sugar based on other reviewers and it was great with carrot cake and cookies. Next time I will halve the recipe because it made more than we could eat!

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2008
Pretty good! We would have these again. We made these on the George Foreman, since we don't have a real grill, and used zucchini instead of onions and peppers. Very simple recipe, easy to follow.

As others suggested, I cut back on the red pepper and upped the honey, and also added chicken broth. Very yummy.

I've made this a few times. I use regular olive oil and a little garlic powder and/or diced garlic, depending on my mood. Very yummy, great vegetarian alternative main course.

Artichoke Chicken

Very easy and quick to make. I used garlic powder instead of garlic pepper and artichoke bottoms. My husband who usually does not like mayo-based sauces loved it too.

Spinach Quiche

I made a couple of changes based on other reviews, and this was wonderful. I used some garlic powder, mixed cheddar and monterray jack, and poured into 2 pie shells instead of using the croutons. Super yummy!
